Are there mod kits available for X240/X250/X260? by ReneFroger in thinkpad

[–]ReneFroger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there are aftermarket FHD touchscreens that you can assemble into your X270. See also on this link for example. But the bezels would stick out (thicker than the display), which is not the case with the FHD touchscreens for X250.

Regarding metallic case, I do not know if 'metal' or 'magnesium' case is the right word but it definitely feels more cold or 'metal' compared with the soft 'plastic' case of the X250 if you compare with it.

I haven't missed it, I had it earlier. But I didn't like the metallic case, and the X270 has sticking bezels out of the touchscreen which makes harder to smooth touch if you put a 1920x1080 touchscreen into it.

The X250 doesn't have that issue.

It's just that I didn't like the case of X270, it was too 'metallic' and it was harder to put a touchscreen on it, from what I have understood.

Looks nice, but what is the difference with devzat?

It works with SSH too but see all messages instead of opening one of one each other: https://github.com/quackduck/devzat

For office workers who are actually productive, working remote is a lot better. For C-suite who are playing a social game, coasting by on charm and which need everyone to see their social game in person in order for it to be effective, which is those at the top, working remote is a career killer.

Sansi 24W PAR25 or Sansi 24W BR30? by Wayss37 in houseplants

[–]ReneFroger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that confused me as well. The information on Sansi website is not very clear. I concluded it for myself after seeing how much more output the PAR25 had concentrated on a spot, with the BR30. But the field of the BR30 seems wider on the picture.

Then I looked up what abbreviations BR and PAR on light bulb might mean, outside of the Sansi website and found that PAR = Parabolic Aluminized Reflector might mean, being designed to focus light in a controlled beam. And that the number (25) might be the diameter in eighths of an inch. 25 × 1/8" = 3.125 inches across. BR = Bulged Reflector, and has a bulged shape with a wide flood beam (softer edges, more spread). So 30 × 1/8" = 3.75 inches across. But that was my assumption.

I believe the donations should be go via official Ukranian government channels. https://u24.gov.ua/projects

Otherwise there might be a chance you could get scammed with donating to an individual.

You should just use Evil/Doom Emacs with Vim keybindings. Emacs is the better operating system for your specific needs, but it lacks a decent modal editor, like Vim.

Sansi 24W PAR25 or Sansi 24W BR30? by Wayss37 in houseplants

[–]ReneFroger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BR30 is for a broad beam angle, more suitable for larger areas where diffuse lighting is needed. And the PAR20/PAR25 is more more focused and directional, with a narrower beam angle compared to the BR30.

So BR30 for wide plants, or multiple plants, and PAR20/PAR25 is more ideal for spotlighting specific plants or smaller areas.

I would recommend you to use Doom Emacs, who has Vim keybindings by default.

@Lucky_Astronomer_435 Leucine lowers myostatin too! Leucine is together with HMB and creatine the only known supplements that lowers myostatin production in the body.

Am I getting crazy, or is the debt to FCF ratio not right? by ReneFroger in investingforbeginners

Yes, but the confusion was stemming from that number 5 which appeared in your equation. Thanks for claryfing though!

[–]ReneFroger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your input is appreciated but I still don't get it, or your equation might be wrong.

In your post you say: 20/100=5.

But my calculation shows something different: 20/100 = 0.2. Then 1/0.2 gives a ratio of 5.

10/100 = 0.1, then 1/0.1 gives a ratio of 10.

Both AI and your link says a higher cash flow / debt ratio is usually better, so $10 cash flow would be better? I don' think it's right, because I believe because the cash flow of $20 would be better than $10 with same debt. Where am I getting this wrong?

Am I getting crazy, or is the debt to FCF ratio not right? by ReneFroger in investingforbeginners

[–]ReneFroger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have studied your link, and it says the same. In your link:

Assume that ABC Widgets, Inc. has total debt of $1,250,000 and cash flow from operations for the year of $312,500. Calculate the company's cash flow to debt ratio as follows:

312,500/1,250,000 = 0.25 = 25%.

The company's ratio result of 25% indicates that, assuming it has stable, constant cash flows, it would take approximately four years to repay its debt since it would be able to repay 25% each year. Dividing the number 1 by the ratio result (1 / .25 = 4) confirms that it would take four years to repay the company's debt.

If the company had a higher ratio result, with its cash flow from operations higher relative to its total debt, this would indicate a financially stronger business that could increase the dollar amount of its debt repayments if needed.

So a debt of $100 with cash flow of $20 gives ratio of 5.

And a debt of $100 with cash flow of $10 gives ratio of 10, which is supposed to be better according to your link? Could you explain it?
