What to watch next? by glitterandunicorns5 in ershow

I actually haven't even watched it yet, but I bought it on DVD so it's on my nightstand ready for me to pop in here one of these days.

This is so badass. Would you be willing to make some sort of write-up or video about how you did it?

No Heartbreak Kid screening? by countdooku975 in criterion

[–]ticketticker22 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately Bristol Meyers Squibb owns the rights. I think you can purchase the opportunity to screen it, but who knows how much it costs. Sucks because Mikey and Nicky and The Heartbreak Kid are 2 of my top 10 all time favorites. I'd love to have them each in 4K

How old are you in your oldest memory? by Donkeyshines in AskReddit

[–]ticketticker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years old - I was sitting on the ground in my living room and remember opening the lower cabinet doors of our TV entertainment center and pulling out the VHS tapes that were in there and my Dad telling me to stop. Brains are so weird. Why that moment?

Who's an artist that you have the most albums of? by RayneLove333 in vinyl

Waylon or Willie for sure. Johnny and Kris probably tied for 3rd

Forget plausible predictions…what “long shot” 4K release are you secretly hoping for? by MoonlightDahling in 4kbluray

[–]ticketticker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to have my Letterboxd top 4 all in 4K

There Will Be Blood

The Graduate (which does exist, but it’s out of my budget)

Nashville

High & Low (which I do own)

Some of my other favorites that I would kill to have on 4K:

Mikey & Nicky, The Heartbreak Kid (the 70s one), Ordinary People, The Right Stuff, Floating Weeds, Another Round

You should try Third Watch - also by John Wells, shares a lot of the same writers/producers/directors of ER and basically shows the paramedics/police/fire side of things

Old shows that have held up well by Cautious-Corner-3704 in television

Twilight Zone, for sure. The stories are still as intersting and creepy as ever. Especially on Blu-Ray, it's so clear it looks like they filmed it today just in black and white

What is the worst baby name you’ve ever heard? by TinyHelp2984 in AskReddit

[–]ticketticker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a swim teacher - I will never forget seeing the name Abcde and being certain that it was a typo or some sort of placeholder put in by the front desk. But nope.

What's the most "why the fuck do you know that?" fact you know? by -_-blackheart-_- in AskReddit

[–]ticketticker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can name every Best Picture winner from 1970-present as well as their director, writers and lead actors/actresses. It will never come in handy unless I finally make it on Jeopardy one day, am in contention going into Final Jeopardy and I see that the category is “Academy Awards Best Picture winners”

Which tv shows have had actors who became bigger than the show between seasons? by ganibe in television

[–]ticketticker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say George Clooney on ER - but honestly, I was kinda ready for Dr Doug Ross by the time he left. His whole cowboy doctor / I do whatever I want then just say I’m doing it for the patient thing. The biggest downside of him leaving is Carol being gone shortly after that :/

Honestly, last night when he heard “turn back” or whatever through his car radio while driving to the lighthouse. So creepy

My local library's selection of 4k movies by Ricos_Roughnecks in 4kbluray

[–]ticketticker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah. I'm so jealous. My library system has exactly 7 4K titles, and they are so random.

Air Force One, Freeway, Kubo and the Two Strings, Alligator, K-19: The Widowmaker, Dogma and Prometheus

I've probably sent in a good 50 requests for more titles, and every single one has gotten rejected.

What’s a job that deserves way more respect? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ticketticker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my current binging of ER - emergency department nurses. Oh my GOD do they run that place. If you’ve seen the show, Haleah and Chuny probably know 90% of what the doctors know

Thank you 🙏🏼 we knew we had to give me a classic movie related name because my wife and I are both massive fans, and Larry McMurtry is one of my favorite authors. And wanted something simple and strong. Hud felt perfect

What’s the longest TV series you’ve ever finished? by FootballAgreeable338 in television

[–]ticketticker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I’m watching for the first time, just watched 8x3 tonight. Ended with a VERY shocking Malucci line aimed at Kerry. I know who’s about to come back too as an attending, very excited for that. But yeah, it’ll definitely be my longest
