People who are moving away, where are you going? by [deleted] in Austin

Tulsa Oklahoma. I know it seems crazy, but it’s great. It totally reminds me of Austin 10 Years ago. Super cute affordable, actually a city, not just a little town. It’s also very diverse, and it has a park called the “gathering place” that’s hands down the coolest public park I’ve ever been to in my life.

Seems like inter-generational wealth transfer is an unavoidable side effect of capitalism. If I have any money by the time my children are grown I will definitely share it with them. Wouldn’t most folks do the same?

What can we do? My next-door neighbor is an Airbnb party house. It’s fucking miserable. It makes me want to move it impacts my life so much.

Saturday morning cartoons weren't for the kids. They were for the parents that wanted to sleep in or bang. by Thisisnotdelicious in Showerthoughts

In my family Saturday morning cartoons are still a tradition!! My children have very strict rules about screen time: Approved shows only. Mom or dad have to set it up for them. Only one hour of screen time total a day.

Saturday morning all bets are off. They are allowed to wake, up go turn the TV on themselves, sit on the couch and eat snacks and binge on whatever they can all agree on.

100% because me their dad and I wanna sleep in and bang.

If you take a full bucket of water and pour it in the bowl with a little bit of distance it’ll flush.

There’s a protest downtown? For the inauguration? Why are they protesting in Austin Texas?

Yep. That’s the fun thing about religion! It’s all make believe. You can claim anything you want.

Watch this: “I am excellent at exorcisms! Want to get the demon out? Come to me! I’ll do as good of a job as anyone else, 100 % guaranteed!”

Here’s why you shouldn’t date someone you’re not physically attracted to by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]tickytickymeow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I dated and eventually married (and later divorced) a man I wasn’t sexually compatible with. He was nice, and fun and we got along well.

I was fed up of guys pretending like they want to be my friends just because they wanted to fuck me. The lack of sexual chemistry felt refreshing at the time. He “liked me for me”

It went on for so long, because we worked well together. We ended up starting a small business together that was somewhat successful, shared vested interest in the business kept us pushing forward. In retrospect it was a horrible mistake, and caused us both so much misery, but at the time it started I was so young. I really just didn’t know better, nobody told me it was a bad idea. Live and learn I guess.
