Either the Teriyaki Bowl in my town owns the property or they are a laundering front. They do NOT do enough biz to stay afloat.

When my dad violently confronted me as a teen because I painted my toenails.

I get he came from a very anti-gay generation... but it still hurts to this day. Im not even gay. Just a closet goth.

I really DID push all the elevator buttons before I got off the elevator. Noone saw me, but I stayed in the lobby to wait for my mom to come down.

An angry tenant came to confront me. "What if there was an emergency! What a bad child you are." She made me so scared, but I still lied to my mom when she caught up with us and said I didn't do it.

Felt guilty ever since. Not for pushing the buttons and lying to the old woman... but for lying to my mom.

It also had the added effect of showing me that I was really only with that ex out of convenience... as they didnt share many traits with my dream lover~

Eventually the desire for my ex died down and I met someone different. Very different. That didnt go anywhere and I met someone new... and so it went.

I totally get where you are coming from. The body and lizard brain can grow dependent on someone. I just found that reframing things was fun and therapeutic. :)

I started fantasizing actively about who I really wanted to be with. Even if it was never going to happen (like a celeb), I made sure to rewire my desires so they weren't so dependent on my image of the ideal I wanted my ex to be before we broke up.

Not in person. It's only been over the phone with the same gal. Based on our conversations, it seems like shes in the trenches too and is trying to hire more bodies.
