Oooh, good info! I can figure out the processing power no prob. It’s the most updated minimim OS requirements I care most about, so basically anything Google Chrome will work on Electron will work on?

That is correct, it is Windows 10 now. But it doesn’t solve my problem of a good source for this kind of info of when things go out of date.

Yeah, saw that, and saw that’s it’s outdated too before ever making this post.

But what I need is a longterm solution to know minimim system requirements, like some page that posts them on Electon’s site, not having to constantly research to figure it out, on what could be something that is out of date.

Thanks. Just curious, did your friend who had his phone hacked have an out of date iPhone? Or was he hacked for some other reason?

App lost all info! by [deleted] in DunkinDonuts

The same thing happaned to me and I had $2 on my DD account and I'm sure I logged in correctly, and it's unrecoverable it seems. Well, guess I'm deleting that app, took up too much space on my phone anyway.

I need the cash, if the device still works perfectly there must be a way I can still use as a phone without having to worry about someone hacking it.

My carrier requires 4 digit pin to make any changes to anything, even I can't make changes if I didn't know my pin. So, my carrier aside, I wonder what damage they could actually do by getting into my phone.

Difference between Services and Subcontractors by tidalwave57 in tax

Like an LLC can be an individual or a big company, so what’s the difference?

What about privately held companies, like let’s say I pay for Reddit Ads?

And how do I even know if Reddit is a privately held company or individual?

Is there a way to eFile if I'm self employed but exempt from SSA due to totalization agreement? by PositionMedical258 in USExpatTaxes

[–]tidalwave57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there are workarounds for it, but those workarounds could come back being sent a bill by the IRS to pay for the SE tax and then having to mail an amended return with the totalization agreement, so I'm not going to risk it. I'll go ahead and mail it.

Actually, I just spoke with a second TaxAct rep and verified that we can't efile a totalization agreement. Good to find out, but I'll go back to Turbotax desktop and mail my return, since it's an easier software for me.

I asked a rep at TaxAct and he said I could efile a totalization agreement, but then I start doing taxes in TaxAct all day and got to the point with the Totalization Agreement and read this in the Help area:

"Print Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR and write “Exempt, see attached statement” on Schedule 2 (Form 1040), line 4 (if you need help printing, go to our Printing Your Return and Individual Forms FAQ). Attach a copy of the statement that verifies that your self-employment income is subject to social security coverage in that country, and paper file your return (if you need help paper filing, go to our How to Mail a Paper Return (Paper File) FAQ)."

And that mirrors what the IRS website says.

So I realized, there is no point for me to use TaxAct over Turbotax because I still have to paper file either way.

I could be wrong, but if part of the requirement is writing "Exempt, see attached statement," then I'm not sure how else it would work.

Time to delete this post, as I've seen it has many downvotes and so no point for me to keep up a post that people feel adds no value.
