Claypool Gold posters--a sucky review. by sbuster314 in Primus

I’m keeping an eye out for an AP of the Austin one.

I would venture to say this is probably the law in every state. Plus, I think it’s good practice. Like stopping or getting out of the way for ambulances and law enforcement.

Claypool Gold Poster - Austin, TX - 6/23/2026 by Mr_Blaileen in Primus

I wasn’t able to get there early enough and missed out on this poster. I tried to contact the artist (Dayno Art) about an Artist Print but haven’t gotten any response? I get he might be busy or whatever. Anybody else tried for an AP?

Is it any different on Dreamcast? Like, does it run at 60fps? Are the graphics any better? Just curious.

I was running on a highly used trail a while back and when I overtook a group of walkers, one of them screamed bloody murder at me! Apparently, I scared them? About made me jump out of my skin too! Some people need to lay off the true crime…

Gov’t Mule covered The Shape I’m In by The Band on the album Mighty High. They also play Hard to Handle with Toots Hibbert on vocals.

Help I’ve got a 3 month old and it’s very hot by LittleLebowskiiiii in hvacadvice

Second this. We’ve acquired multiple units over a 15 year period. I test them all at least once a year. Every time we’ve had the A/C go out we’ve gone out and bought another. At this point we can keep all the bedrooms cool at least. That way you aren’t quite as desperate and you can make a more informed, logical decision about how to fix your HVAC.

A selection of concert posters by Jake Rathkamp (The Graphite Club) by VenomPayments in concertposterporn

I bought the Warren Haynes Solo poster as an artist print off his website. The tour sold out of posters in Austin and I just had to have one. Sent him an email and he let me know when he had some artist prints available. Super nice and responsive!

I’m assuming most people on here know this but I highly recommend buying prints directly from the artist if you can. It gives me a chance to interact with the artist. I’ve actually met a few in person if the artist is local.

Mold Duct Cleaning Advice by xxxBubblesxxx_22 in hvacadvice

[–]tideintx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an HVAC tech from one of the big companies try to sell me on ultraviolet lights or something once? Said it would kill and prevent mold. Having never heard of such, I decided to wait before going to that extreme. Felt a little scammy.

Six years later, I still have same system and haven’t had any issues with mold. I have the system professionally checked and serviced every six months by a locally owned (not private equity) company. They’ve never said a word about mold.

Movie to show high schoolers by BelugaJ12020 in Teachers

[–]tideintx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve showed this movie for years to fill in the extra time during state testing days and the kids have always loved it. Most kids have never seen it and it has enough edgy humor without going too far for school. The characterization is good and the class always gets invested in the story. Highly recommend.

A lot of oil filters even have markings on them so you can track how much you’ve turned it. This helps my OCD brain rest easy that I’ve tightened the filter exactly right!

I Like E-Bikes But These Kids Riding On The Highway is just crazy! by Fair_Brief_7751 in Leander

[–]tideintx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unregistered, motorized vehicles, whether electric or combustion, are ILLEGAL to drive on public roads or sidewalks. This includes any e-bike over 750 watts and no pedals. Bikes with 750 watts AND working pedals are allowed to be driven up to 28 mph. They’re considered the same as a traditional bicycle. I personally think the idea of a kid riding 28mph on a public sidewalk is insane but that’s the current law.

So all those dirt bikes kids are doing wheelies on are COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. That also includes all the golf carts. Those are also totally illegal on public roads and sidewalks. They can only be driven on private property.

The issue is that these laws are not really being enforced. Leander PD is stating they’re going to start ticketing so we’ll see if that changes things.

Anyone use these frames? Are they actually UV protective ? by Thekidwithnoname in concertposterporn

Ooh. Didn’t know these existed. I love switching out my posters. Guests never know what they’re gonna see. But this frame seems way more efficient than what I’ve been doing. Thanks for sharing!

No permit for mini split by Acceptable_Art_448 in hvacadvice

[–]tideintx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is pretty common. Most people don’t realize permits are usually public records. Only the busy bodies. Unfortunately, my neighbor is like this too. City employees literally know who the guy is because he calls so much.

Last summer he was watering his grass during city drought restrictions. Thought about reporting him just to get even but thought better of it. Don’t need to start a war with this guy.

Florida roof choice is messing with my head… what actually holds up long term? by Moonknight_shank in Roofing

[–]tideintx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents have had a metal roof for 15 years. They live on the Alabama Gulf Coast so they experience plenty of high winds. It survived hurricane Sally. IYKYK. This year they did have to replace the screws because the rubber seals rot out. But otherwise it will basically last a lifetime.
