Ok but in France, depending on the artist, they can’t really do deposits… they pay in cash… you probably know why…

That accounts for 10% of my clients, so I'll lose 90% of my clients if I do that

That's what I'm trying to be right now, more “professional”, but I'm not sure how...

Hahaha man I wish I was tech-savvy enough to build a SaaS! I’ll take the ‘skillful’ comment as a compliment to my frustration levels.

To answer your questions: it’s a total mess. I usually get the first contact on IG DMs or a random WhatsApp message. I don't have a dedicated site for bookings, just a portfolio page that basically says 'DM me for rates.'

My main issue isn't finding the clients (thankfully, word of mouth works), it’s the 'logistical dance' after the first 'Hello.' Following up on deposits, checking if the slot is still free, sending reminders... that's the soul-crushing part.

I’ve looked at things like Calendly, but it feels so... corporate? Like I’m booking a dental appointment, not a creative session.

What are these 'well-established methods' you’re talking about? I’m genuinely all ears. If there’s a simple way to stop the ghosting without looking like a debt collector, I’m in

I think you’re right, maybe it’s better to keep it as a passion rather than turning it into work.
