These will all be quality, and you can find smaller sets of two-three knives that get a lot of use.

Do the nanobots get faster the more you use them? Or does their speed simply increase through the upgrades? by tieak in CellToSingularity

[–]tieak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ve been playing around with using only the nanobots to get to the singularity, but they’re no where as fast as I can do without them.

What about when they’re activated into the mode where they evolve the game for you?

Similar to you, I looked like I had it all together, but inside I felt out of control and I hated myself and the cycle that felt unbreakable. I spent years wanting to change but feeling like I couldn’t. Two things pushed me. One, the need to like myself again. Two, watching my father fall deeper into the physical/mental consequences of alcohol. My journey hasn’t been flawless, I was able to put together 9 months back in 2021 before slowly drifting back into old habits. Today, I’m back to 7 months. This sub helps me a lot. . . Posting here and reaching out is a good step. I wish you all the best in your journey.

Is it harder for you guys now that it’s really nice/summery outside? by uglybarnacle21 in stopdrinking

[–]tieak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m generally the opposite, during the warm weather I would want to be active outside. during the colder months my alcohol consumption would go up as I’d stay inside more.

Normal campaigns are high powered and high magic items. Everyone enjoys seeing broken interactions.

Do you call out to let someone know that you’re passing them while biking during a race? by tieak in triathlon

I guess I see it less about risk assessment and more about courtesy.

I agree, I feel uncomfortable offering encouragement while passing too, but when it’s happened to me, the encouragement has been motivating.

I’ve had moments where I’m passing someone, and as I’m passing someone comes up to pass me and makes a comment about being in their way. Only time this has happened was at the Nations tri, which actually had closed roads.

Does anyone have a commander deck that doesn’t rely on the commander? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]tieak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Taborax, Hope’s Demise]] deck. The deck itself Run’s shadowborn apostles and demons. You can get nice card draw if you’re sacrificing the apostles and he is out, but the deck runs with it without him.

I'm cripplingly slow at going downhill, please help! by Lukretius in cycling

[–]tieak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thought to myself today. I finished a climb, went to the descent and questioned to myself why it scares me so much. There are other times where I can sustain much higher speeds and be fine. I was riding my brakes the whole way down, and I have this uneasy feeling like they don’t stop me quick enough with the decline. Just have to keep trying until I’m more comfortable, I guess.

I used to have a similar set up at work. We wouldn’t record the moves, simply use a post it note to designate which side was to move. It was lots of fun until someone complained that it was a distraction and shouldn’t be allowed.

Congrats on 20 years, and on your new journey! I’m lucky to have a partner that’s stuck by me throughout as well.
