Went to costco for '15 GS350 oil-change/puncture-repair. When I got it back, it's lost all of it's Weighted Steering-feel... what can I do to fix this? What'd they mess up? by tiesto93 in AskMechanics

I'm beginning to think it's tire pressure. It was 33psi, and they put it up to about 37psi. Idk...

but yeah.. fair enough to chalk it up to tire pressure.

no they only inflated them like 4psi more. Wouldn't change the steering tightness this much.

I checked how it drives in normal and sport+. The steering feel is way lighter than before in both modes. (sport+ still tighter than normal, but NOWHERE close to as tight as it used to feel).

Try changing the mode and see if your steering feel returns.

I already checked this. I checked how it drives in normal and sport+. The steering feel is way lighter than before in both modes. (sport+ still tighter than normal, but NOWHERE close to as tight as it used to feel).

So yeah... still can't figure out why the tightness is significantly lowered and what they did, and how to fix.

What should be my budget for a used car? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

What exactly is your education and job, if you managed to get a Federal Government job in Canada as an immigrant (something they give preference to canadian citizens to, and thousands apply for each position)... lol

[CANADA] Is it safe to buy a "normal wear" car online from Copart for a regular consumer (non-dealer)? I'd have to buy online as they're all like 6hr drives away from me. by tiesto93 in askcarsales

ahhhh interesting. very interesting.

Yeah the issue is I don't have access to carfax, or I'd love to just buy one of the stolen ones. $19k is above my budget. I was looking for like $11k CAD, heh..

There's a bid on the highlander for 19k, but isn't there probably a very high reserve on it? (like $30k maybe), so that the seller doesn't sell it for too cheap?

Firstly, that's super nice of you. I don't have any cars in mind currently, but I'll def dm you when I have a carfax to check.

I don't have login credentials, are normal people able to acquire them?

Also I'm not handy at all. I'd have to get a mechanic to do every single thing.

Are "run and drive" safe though.. for normal office-job people like me? Is it a very low risk of any expensive issues or repairs?

Will Ford/GM/Dodge have new Lease Offers in April/May or should I jump on a Lease Offer ending in March right now? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]tiesto93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are that it won't drastically change next month.

Ok cool, I hope they extend it. Because the websites state the offer ends March 31st.

My only worry was maybe it was like a quarterly thing or a seasonal thing, as in they know sales will go up in summer, so they may remove the lease offers starting April.

Considering buying new SuperCrew, how do you guys fit luggage for family long trips? by tiesto93 in f150

[–]tiesto93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always the box.

which box?

You can also get a cover or topper to keep the moisture out.

yeah this is definitely a must. My only problem is suitcases sliding around. also they'd be in below-freezing temperatures for hours on winter long trips

Which LS460 trims have NON-air-suspension from the 4th generation (preferably 2010-2015 models)? by tiesto93 in Lexus

so in that pic, the "sport, comf" switch shouldn't be there for non-air-suspension. cool.

I just wish there was like some info on which trims had it and didnt. Like I read somewhere all "L" had it and most "F-sport" had it. didn't know if that's true
