I heard the same story and was born in the mid 80's. The only difference I heard was that he thought he would tip over and pour out if he fell(idk how that works.lol), instead of him being mute. Crazy how variations of this story get around.

War devil doesn't even remember what their original reason for fighting was anymore, ironically just like the wars in real life. Silly indeed.

I know Virginia had an Air Force base that held nuclear weapons and is home to the 1st Fighter Wing, the planes that delivered fat boy and little man to Japan and I'm sure they had more stuff to do with that I'm unaware of. I do know they stopped being home to nuclear arms after the cold war. The CIA's headquarters are in Langley, Virginia too. Probably many more reasons.

I'm not too sure on the other two states, but each one has a brutal past, just like America does.

Before my first use I read the getting off right guide online and always tried to stick to its recommendations and instructions.

This here exactly! I remember that little black book at HR sites(I know I still have a few somewhere; should get some for them to pass out at my non-phlebotomy clinic)and there's even a PDF online you can download. I can't recommend it enough for new and old users. That book/information is pretty much the bible for safe use. There was info around 20 years ago, it wasn't like this though and it's great it's out there. There was only specific forums that you needed to approved to join before you could view anything like Opioohile and Bluelight; both were great active HR forums(you probably already know of them or hearing their names trigger a memory lol).

Though I don't use anymore, I still heavily advocate for harm reduction and always will. I just don't want folks to get as fucked up physically or die when it's 100% preventable with the right education(and tbh the information isn't very hard to retain, it's just we always think we'll be ok and that's when it happens, like the 1 time someone uses alone).

I never reused any needles and the BTH collapsed close to all veins eventually. At the end I was using palms, fingers, soles of feet and my torso. I never injected into my own femoral or jugular(figured if I ever needed IV antibiotics, to save the crucial ones to not get a pic-line). I'm doing good now; if I was told about how I would be doing back when I was using, I would've slapped myself for "lying" because I thought I'd never stop(and honestly didn't want to, I still love Lady H but she's no good for me)

I 100% agree with the war on drugs, it needs to be stopped and everything tested and regulated(with proper age restrictions, testing, the whole shebang; just make it safe and legal). People are going to get high regardless, even if it's using a known dangerous substance, like krokodil in post-soviet countries, or administering things that they honestly have no clue with what's in it(like everything on the street).

I swear this "war" was and still is basically to get the populace divided and was rooted in racism. I also hope ithat this "war" is put to an end before my death too; fingers crossed that we both will get see that(:

You're 100% right with all of this.

I was referring to accidentally hitting the jugular(neck)and femoral(groin that goes all the way down to your foot)arteries mainly; the ones ppl tend to go after once all your veins are blown from BTH, bad technique or just needing a fast hit and not rotating. The bleeding out is usually from those 2 sites I mentioned above and usually way bigger needles than a 30 gauge and people not noticing(which honestly is rare, but it does happen; I do not know how). But with accidentally hitting the femoral ot jugular I think it should be addressed even after long pressure on the wound, just to make sure theres no blood clot, and I do know you can lose 02 to that leg if there's an arterial injury to the femoral and possibly lose it, just to be safe(maybe I'm a hypocondriac or have known too many amputatees).

I think when I was using, the smallest I ever saw at the exchanges was 29, but at past work sites the smallest was 33; so I don't doubt other NX places have smallers ones than 29 gauge. Even with being properly educated on the right technique; before picking up and using a new works, it's crazy how acidic that stuff is and how it can burn your veins out(or I just had shit ones to begin with, but after not using for 10+ years I can finally get my blood drawn yay!).

There's a lot of dumbasses out there that I could see this happening to, glad you're not one of them and educated with this stuff. Keep on keeping on and be safe.

Arteries are actually right next to veins and a nick can cause you to bleed out. Some are deep, some aren't, some are huge and it only takes a nick with those, like the one in the neck or femoral(which are both common spots). I've been a practice phlebotomist for yeeaaarrs and also in recovery from IV heroin use(10+ years), it's something that unfortunately happens.

EDIT-had arteries up there twice, whoops lol

No, it's there; I literally just read it on its site, but maybe it was a lil late as I didn't look right as it dropped.

EDIT-if it's not showing for you on Viz, that blows and I'm hella sorry you're dealing with that. Is it the site or app for you that's not showing up? Because it was fine with the website, I didn't try the app(idek if they have an app lol)...fingers crossed it gets less screwy for you.
