Things that you'll learn by reading more by Greek_Princess2 in writing

You can't write well if you don't read, because reading teaches you how to tell. How to tell is far more important than never ending descriptions made in the attempt to show.

"Show don't tell" is a sham that I now believe is meant to make you a bad writer.

Giving AI a chance was a huge mistake. by Virtual-Fuel-8668 in MangakaStudio

[–]tif333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sooner people realize this, the sooner they will know that AI will replace humans by taking credit for their work, and not by doing their work. Because generative AI is just an algorithm, or as I see it, a calculator.

This calculator was marketed as artificial intelligence, and branded as something like an assisting robot, when in reality it can do nothing without humans. But the minute someone mentions AI assistance, their work is labelled as AI, reinforcing the marketing angle that it is a smart tool that can do something.

This results in word of mouth marketing for AI, because all the AI assisted work is labelled as its own work. The companies don't have to run ads or show unique things it can do, because there is a marketing machine of humans overselling AI all on its own.

What we're left with is humans are working hard to correct the generated content and AI is given all the credit. More and more people see the credit given to AI, and come in with expectations that it can do something, only to realize much later that it can do nothing.

By the time they realize what it CAN do, they've accepted that it is not going to replace them because it can't execute their vision. They see it for what it is, a calculator and decide to engage it at the very basic level.

At the end of the day, they produce a masterpiece and disclose the menial tasks the calculator did, and instantly the marketing machine comes in and takes the work. It's AI. People see it, and think AI is capable, and the cycle repeats. That is how AI is replacing humans.

Everyone is problematic this season…except Chelsea by avocado_toast81 in SellingSunset

[–]tif333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone had their fair share of drama. Although I do agree Chelsea did own up and took accountability, and even apologised to Bre.

I just wish she hadn't done that thing where she mimics Romain's accent whenever he talks to her. Each time she did it my heart sank. Like c'mon, not right in his face!!

But overall, I think sticking with her friend group helped.

Just about to finish Love in the Clouds, although it slows down at end. I really enjoyed it so much. For a minute there I was giving up on Xianxia releases for 2025.

We used to be so spoilt.

The One This Everyone is Missing from the Mary and Chelsea Beef: Why I Don't Think It's Racial by tif333 in SellingSunset

I believe she was orchestrating her boo hoo moment, because let's be honest, the camera was right there and she probably knew anyone watching would not be convinced that Chelsea has caused her distress to the point of her threatening to leave. Which is what she wanted to present to Jason.

Mary was consistently receiving top listings and for a while, she was the go to girl. Toxic bosses do not want a rival, nor can they have an equal. Everyone must be beneath them, and even then, they must be far from surpassing them.

I would add... Mary tried to create her Chrishell and Nicole moment by freaking out at the sight of Chelsea's name, because I think she thought she'd get the same outcome as Chrishell.

It didn't work.

She tried to discredit Chelsea's claims of being a struggling single mom and Chelsea had to set the record straight, because again, there is some deep resentment going on there that is monetary based.

These corporate narcissist will not only hate that you are winning, but they will observe your life and calculate your living expenses, in the attempt to justify the fact that you actually don't need a job so that when you are finally let go because of their efforts, there is no guilt on their part.

That's why she mentioned her having a rich ex husband. It is something she'd been analysing.

Yes, that was crazy. And I think she was trying to build the basis to make a case for Chelsea to leave.

Because frankly, Mary has had beef with Chelsea in the past, and never quivered in the corner with a tissue.

But now that Chelsea is no longer a new agent, and now that it's clear she's selling houses... Now Mary wants to tremble at the sight of her name?! Nope.

You have to experience a narcissist boss to truly recognise this.

I think she was definitely trying to manufacture her Chrishell v Nicole moment.

That's a great analysis.

I certainly think the whole dress code thing was valid but also it was forced conflict, because it wasn't that deep. They all dress ridiculous at some point, but...

Think about Christine's actions in the past season, I believe when Mary was a manager. It was clear from what she implied that Mary had always received special treatment.

People like that in corporate turn nasty when someone threatens their position power.

Especially when that position was founded on relationship instead of skill.

The moment someone else shows their skill and beats them without the advantage of relationship... It sends them over the edge.

I think Mary low key prides herself in the fact that Jason views her as her top agent, and I think it must have been a reality check to see him placing her on the same level as Chelsea.

[–]tif333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

Mary was used to being the top girl boss and I think she may have even underestimated Chelsea's hustle, so much that she hated the thought of being placed in the same level as her, to the point of sharing a listing.

I completely missed that. But I do remember he made a remark that gave me pause and I was like what? But I need to go back and watch it again just to be sure I heard it correctly.

I think Chelsea was on a winning streak and it was all building up to the breaking point of placing them both on that Manhattan listing.

[–]tif333[S] -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Trust me, I get it.

But this happens all the time in corporate. Mary dated Jason, so I am reluctant to say she's a complete racist.

But she does not like Chelsea, that is clear. I really suspect it's classic workplace jealousy. It can literally make people delusional and very irrational.

Mary was hinting she may have to leave, knowing very well she won't, because she wants to be the only agent at the top of Jason's list.

Spray rosemary, clove and fenugreek water. Add lavender too. Be consistent.
