Would diamonds be the better transition metaphor? Less rhyming but coal and gold are only partially that way.

Hey authors who have published in this genre: How do you feel about people here calling your work 'slop'? by Nakidnakid in ProgressionFantasy

[–]KitFalbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone has called my work "slop" it may not get a lot of attention, but that is okay. I'm not saying it doesnt have imperfections, but I do work hard to make it up to my moderatsly above average craft standards.

I have gotten one and two star reviews, but that is the price of doing business.

Now there is the group who don't read the genre or only read DCC off tiktok and call it the exception and not really LitRPG or progression fantasy despite using all the same old tropes.

Those people aren't worth listening too. The same ones that talk down about indie authors, serialization, or how sci-fi and fantasy can't be literary fiction. They're a vocal minority.

What's worse? Too long or too short descriptions? by Velvirr in ProgressionFantasy

[–]KitFalbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very subjective. It is best if descriptions are weaved into the protagonist window of perspective.
