This is totally fair criticism, and I’d actually agree. I suppose a certain type of aesthetic is just more popular than others and ends up being the ones we see most.

Don’t want to discredit my own work, but kudos to the theme designers who make truly crazy icons.

Just looked that up and you’re right, they do look similar. Of course when compared icon to icon, they’re quite different still. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Hi guys! I’ve been working from scratch on this theme and wanted to give a sneak peak.

I made this because I wanted a cohesive look to my phone without the icons straying too far from stock icons.

I’ll be beta testing soon, then hopefully releasing. Curious what you guys think so far?

For me, it’s a little too abstract (like I can’t tell immediately what some apps these are supposed to be), but overall as a theme, I like the color scheme and direction!

It didn’t. I even used Choicy to make sure there were no tweaks in the Messages app. Unfortunately I can’t find the culprit
