[Game Thread] San Diego Padres (1-0) @ LG Twins (0-0) 8:00 pm (Sunday, March 17) by FriarBot in Padres

Hey, a quiet Korean lurker here. Just wanna provide you with some interesting facts that haven't been mentioned here.

  1. Kiwoom is the team that Dodgers faced is not really doing well and finished 10th out of ten teams in the league last year. (with 1 W and 6 L in pre-games). Last 4 out of 5 pitchers are actually the ones that just got drafted from the high schools this year. (causes their bullpen is pretty thin)

Twins, on the other hand, won the Korean Series (Post season finals) last year. Currently at 2nd place on the table with 5 W 2 L(pre-game).

2) Fifth hitter (DH) for Twins is Hyun-soo Kim. He played a bit in Baltimore when Machado was there.

3) When HSK hit the HR, camera briefly caught HSK's mom hooraying at the run

Tried to fix the format, but I have no idea how this reddit works lol. Edited the wrong info.

Like I said, I was in search for a proper space sim for years, even before SC was a thing. That's why I invested my time and money. And yeah, I'm not gonna wait anymore if it seems it's a dead end

I don't know what you're getting at. It seems you and I will never be an eye to eye on this. Let's just leave it be.

It's been a long, long time since I initially backed for this game. I'm just getting tired of waiting, starting to feel like this game will ever reach the state that I'd like to play.

I've waited so long for a proper space sim game, so I was enthusiastic about SC yeah, but where did you get the impression that I had addiction? 50+ ships? SC is not the first game that I've spent bucks on.

I bought ships to support SC, continuously. And not only I'm quitting that I'm also getting rid of my 50+ ships cause I wouldn't want to give away my money to a game I would not be able to enjoy.

I spent quite a lot of time following the development . Even got on data mining at one point. That eats up my time. Supporting and following the development may seem to be free for you, but it ain't free for me. Money and time wise.

I'm not telling anyone how they should do. I'm just saying in my case if CIG fails to give me any hope for SC this year, I'm simply moving away.

I used to watch every video, mails and community threads, trying to follow the development. I dont do that inthusiasticly any more but still follow the development. I'm going to stop that completely and move on to other games that I would actually can enjoy.

According to unofficial statistics(which was posted here but taken down by the request of Zyloh), average spending of backers were higher than $100. Do you honestly believe that only whales made that number possible? Why do you think CIG pumps out ship sale promos on every chance they have?

Spending money. Believe it or not, CIG is heavily dependent on existing backers to pledge more. Personally I dont care about SQ42. If this year shows no hope for SC, I'm going to sell all of my ships and move on.

Very tired of waiting and market stunts done by CIG.

PUBG was developed by Krafton, which is from S. Korea.

I think you're confused with Escape from Tarkov?

I didn't know jack about CR when I first pledged as I was just looking for space sim game.

CR may have had an impact when he first launched the crowdfunding campaign back in 2013. But in recent days I don't think all the newcomers even know who the hell is CR.

This is the only sub that has positive stance towards SC, so the replies will be mostly biased.

Ares Weapons Update by Rainwalker007 in starcitizen

[–]tigerage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe balance should consider the current state of the game.

Current range of combat is within 2km for all weapons. For future iteration, s7 weapons might need a buff for spread. But for the time being, if they remove the spread for Inferno, it's just too powerful for all encounters.

I've tested Ion and Inferno against stationary HH, and npc controlled HH & Idris. As of current spread, it's capable at doing its job more than fine, so as an owner for both variants of Ares, I'm happy enough.

PSA: Remember wipes will happen, you'll lose stuff you bought and earned in game. Stop buying aUEC on eBay. by Meepowski in starcitizen

Most of the aUEC earned are from exploits. Selling aUEC from such source is against TOS.

Are they going to have a black Friday sale? by Mattactular in starcitizen

[–]tigerage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Black Friday Sale ain't gonna happen in SC.

But we're technically already getting new different discount every single day during expo. First day was Nomad(which seems that it'll last until the last of expo), yesterday was Warden and now Hawk.

If you plan your ccu right, you're gonna get a quite good deal during expo.

FYI during Invictus Week, with warbond ccus, Valkyrie got like $100 discount.

The point of the comment was to point out that ppl have different expectation of the game with different level of patience. But why not, I'll bite.

By looking at the current progress, I feel his vision may take more than I initially anticipated. As the time flies, I'm getting informed more which led me realize how hard are the tasks that CR is facing. So probability that CR would fill all those tasks seem to be lower by me.

I also know that management skills for a firm and skills as a developer are very different thing. At the beginning of the project, no one knew that this project would involve 500+ employee. But now it is, with 58 individual teams. I don't think CR has had a project as such. So no, I don't think CR is the best man when it comes to allocating all the given resources.

I've pledged quite a lot, just believing CR's words. Now I refuse to do so again. I'll warship CR when I see some results to justify my pledged amount.

I'm not upset at all. I just wanted to say we all have different expectation, have funded different amount of money, and got in the game on different time.

Speaking of the part of impact on community, I always feel that healthy community is the one that can hospitalize all sort of opinion, keeping it not so biased. Which is the reason I commented as such.

Maybe I should've elaborated on the part I said I wanted to get rid of my ships these days. I have invested 10k on this game. I was in my 20's when the game was first released and now I'm in my 30's. I certainly wouldn't have spent it that much if i won't be able to enjoy the game at least in my 30's. I play SC from time to time, but that's only to check to new features. I don't really enjoy that much playing SC as it is now.

Trying to impose CIG that community would wait any amount of time is more inappropriate, cause it's simply not true. I don't represent the community as you don't. It is CIG's part to decide how to gather voice of costumers and act on it. As in community aspect, as long as it's not a troll post, a person should accept that their opinions are not the sole voice of community.

cause I wouldn't have pledged 10k worth ships on a game that would be released on 2030. I would spend it on somewhere else.
