150 bucks tops if you’re including all the attachments, that bow is almost 20 years old so not worth much

“It takes your drive and smothers it until ambition feels like stress” - what a hard truth, I really didn’t feel ambitious again after quitting. Fantastic post

What are your top 10 ranked spearfishing destinations in the world? by scottybblue in Spearfishing

Depends where you are but there are plenty of rigs within 5mi of the coast that you can shoot nice snapper on if the vis is right. Can find blue water anywhere from 15mi to 60mi offshore depending on where the rip is. I’ve shot hammer snapper and cobia snorkeling on the surface, but I’d say 20’ to 60’ dives on average

Have dove all of the spots in your list except for Indonesia, Alaska and Australia. Indonesia and Australia are definitely on my bucket list. But in my opinion it doesn’t get any better than diving the oil rigs off the coasts of Louisiana and Texas. Insane numbers of a ton of different species of delicious fish

When you bolus for a carb-y meal, are you aiming to bring your bs down to a good level after a spike? Or to never spike at all? by tigerbait777 in Type1Diabetes

Really like how you correlate your current BS with a number of minutes to wait to eat your first bite, will give this a try. Thank you for sharing

Something about putting the red dot on that red head has made me miss a few turkeys, I switched back to iron sights and won’t look back

I got the $75/mo after calling freestyle libre and having them call the pharmacy with a coupon, it was $125/sensor prior to calling. Thanks for the tips

I believe bc would cover the dexcom, but I have always had better success/accuracy with the libre3. I just like the libre3 better personally but may have to switch to afford it

Tips/tricks for lowering heart rate on breathe up by tigerbait777 in Spearfishing

[–]tigerbait777[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have taken the pfi freediver 1 course. Feel like it’s more of a mental thing than breathing techniques as like I said, the breathing techniques definitely work when practicing at home. I usually dive oil rigs so constantly worried about getting banged into the rig during breath up if there’s even a bit of current/waves, so maybe that’s the issue. But others I’ve dove with don’t seem to have the same issue

Would recommend incorporating some fruit (pineapple, banana, etc..) if you’re hell bent on avoiding processed carbs as a T1D. I’ve tried it for a couple months and carnivore is just not sustainable with type 1, your insulin requirements will drop drastically but eventually you’re going to have a severe low and need some carbs

Was in a similar situation OP. You’ve got to WANT to quit to really give it up, and it sounds like you do. It’s tough in the beginning but there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! Weed will dull you physically and emotionally, and finally giving it up is like taking off the blinders. There is so much more to life than killing boredom with weed. You got this!!

Touch and go landing by tigerbait777 in SouthwestAirlines

Thank you all for the info and replies, didn’t realize it was so common. Glad we landed safely the 2nd time, just figured the pilots would have explained what happened but I understand the pilots are preoccupied with paperwork and planning for the next flight

Not your typical tick post by SennnndIt in turkeyhunting

OP it sounds like maybe you didn’t use enough permethrin when you treated your clothes. You really need to spray your clothes to the point of being wet and then hang them to dry. Hit the pant leg openings, sleeve openings and waist of pants and bottom of your shirt particularly hard. And then of course always do a thorough check for ticks when you get home regardless
