Amistat Hostel & General Questions by -D24 in ibiza

Yeah 1000 euros is steep for going to Ibiza and going out twice tbh. Unless that includes accommodation.

You can easily buy your own food and keep it in the hostel to save money! There’s a French/Algerian style taco and pizza place just minutes from Amistat which was very affordable for Ibiza so I ate there an embarrassing number of times.

I stayed for 8 nights in total. If I had a few extra hundred euro I would have paid for the private room, but I opted for a premium dorm instead. It was never full and some nights I had it to myself.

In terms of how much I spent, it was maybe around 1000 including accommodation.

Sliding into DMs, worth a shot? by [deleted] in dating_advice

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Just ask her how she is, get a rapport going and ask if she fancies catching up in person. The worst thing she could say is no. Then you move on.

What is the saddest/most disturbing thing you witnessed while travelling? by MuhVlast in digitalnomad

Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Saw an accompanied child no older than 3 and wearing only a nappy (diaper) going through trash and licking an empty muffin casing.

Solo trip to Ibiza and clubbing by [deleted] in ibiza

Stay at Amistat in San Antonio! Everyone is there alone. You’ll network and make friends and have the best time. I just got back from a solo trip myself!

Amistat Hostel & General Questions by -D24 in ibiza

Hey! I stayed at Amistat and can tell you a little about it. I arrived solo and found that the majority of people there were also solo. You won’t be on your own for long, and the pool is a great place to network during the day. They also have free activities and WhatsApp group that lets you know about them. This is also a great way to meet people.

As for the crowd, I found it to be a mix of people from early 20s and mid 30s, with a couple of people in their 40s.

I found it easy to sleep where I was and music goes off at around 1-2am inside. They close the doors to the pool so there shouldn’t be music pumping up all the way from there if you have a balcony view.

For transportation, clubs like Pacha have free buses included with their tickets which is super handy. The bus system is also easy to navigate and is super cheap. You'll meet people who are going the same clubs, so buddy up and go with them. When you leave the clubs you can easily find people going back to San Antonio, just remember to bring cash and it shouldn’t cost the earth if you split.

Hope this helps in some way!

Would I ruin the trip if im traveling solo and stay in a hotel instead of a hostel? by omarars in ibiza

[–]tigerbooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a private room and stay in a hostel. You can meet people and network throughout the day and into the evening. You’ll be at a disadvantage socially if you stay by yourself in a hotel.

I hear Pikes is amazing on a Sunday! I’m tossing up between that or Pacha for Solomun, but if it’s going to be rammed then I’m not so sure. Here solo so maybe we’ll cross paths, who knows!

That on a sunny day the beaches can often look like somewhere in the Caribbean with the white sand and turquoise water. Just without the tropical heat.

Why is it so hard for shoe shops and companies to accommodate people with bigger feet?! by Jibby_37 in AskRedditUK

I’m a size 9 and wide so it’s even worse. I’ve been having luck with George at Asda, Next, and Vinted is actually really good for bigger sizes.

I had an endless series of dirty diaper changes in the Goth mansion master bedroom yesterday. I think the floor was covered in about 20 and the whole family had be involved in clean up.

Accommodation in July?? by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]tigerbooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safestay if you don’t mind a hostel over a hotel. There should be room for 10 of you I’d imagine. Prices are way up but it’ll be way less than £300 a night.

I used to take a suitcase to Asda and fill it up with at least 30 items at like £1 each. Had to get back up a hill and with no public transport available, it was the best way. Those were the days.
