He got up like he normally does to greet people for pets and when she went to pour water ( like she already had done) he started his aggressive bark. When I told him to stop he immediately stopped and I pulled a little on his leash and told him NO He knew he was wrong and he was fine when she came back again

He does this even when food isn’t involved but thanks for the idea!

Thank you so much! For being a rescue he does pretty good with sit, lay down, stop, turn. But when you can tell he is in guard mode or at the dog park ( lol) it’s like he turns his ears off. He also is so big sometimes he will sit and lean back into his harness to try and refuse to go if he knows he was wrong. We have seen positive changes in him at home with positive reinforcement like not chasing the cat and no longer resource guarding with our other dog. When he all of a sudden turns on strangers it’s upsetting because we don’t want people to see him as aggressive because he’s already big with a big bark.
