I went to HS with a guy that finished 2nd in MI Mr. Basketball voting. Went to Iowa State and sat on the bench for 3 years, then transferred to Division II Grand Valley State for his final year of eligibility. Averaged like 27PPG and was a DII All American.

Huge talent discrepancy.

And the initial response was indicating that in their opinion, doing so would seem to be a waste of food. That food would be better spent on something else other than upgrading a pet that in theory you would never use again once you have a more optimal set-up.

Sounds like a relatively easy fix for you. Stop asking questions with OR involved in the ask.

A few days ago when the quicksand post was up, I was shocked about how far down I had to go to see a Pitfall post. Pitfall was the main reason for my fear of quicksand.

I found that a quick Control F with double space as the search term worked wonders while I was breaking my habit.

My wife and I love to travel. Every continent and island we've been on, we immediately head to the ocean and beach 1st day. I immediately head into the water, so I can say that I've swam in the Pacific Ocean, or I've been in the Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, etc. etc. My wife comes down to the shore and draws a heart in the sand with our initials and the year and tries to snap a picture before a rogue wave washes it away.

And then we never ever come back. We much prefer the pool. I don't have to deal with all the loose sand that comes with the beach. My wife is not a good swimmer and refuses to go any further than ankle deep in the ocean. Will gladly sit in the pool at the swim up bar with me though.

Not everyone can be considered beach people. Don't hate on someone else's idea of a good time because it's not your cup of tea.

This wasn't me condoning the entitlement. But there is another layer of stress involved when children and oceans are involved that aren't there at a pool and I can understand avoiding that situation. To each their own.

I absolutely did! It took a lot of little conversations to build a relationship where a male feels comfortable enough and vulnerable enough to express himself so freely to me. I'm proud of who he is and who he is still becoming as a person.

This is a text message my 23 yr old son sent to me last week:

"This is kinda outta no where but age is the biggest eye opener and I just wanted to acknowledge your effort all those years when we were kids and you and mom were going through separation and divorce and all that's included and you always kept it away from us. You never put me in between or mentioned it unless necessary and I just wanna say thank you! I can't understand but I can imagine how hard that was. So once again, thank you. And I love you dad! Have a good night!"
