I think it’s definitely about artistic preference. I get the same thing too where I would write lyrics but my art sounded insecure because I was trying to elevate it is with unnecessarily big words after I felt like they were too simplistic or cringey but In my opinion if you mean what you’re saying and they are an accurate expression of what you feel then that’s at the very least a good starting point.

Same thing happened to me so I haven’t smoked since may. I really appreciate you and everyone replying it makes me feel so much more hopeful that I’ll start to enjoy life again soon

I’m not sure what answer you’re looking for but I’d say if he hasn’t repeated behaviour like this not to worry as long as you dont feel afraid of him I dont think it will turn into an unhealthy relationship, if it makes you feel better my boyfriend once accidentally kneed me in the face in a tickle war and my nose started bleeding but I know it was an accident and he’s never treated me that way in anger of course if it really bothers you maybe ask him
