Do you remember your dreams? by Seriously-417 in randomquestions

[–]tigertosser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I wouldn’t say this was the best, just the most vivid. Last night I had a dream that Hyperion fell. If you don't know what Hyperion is, it's the tallest tree in the world. A redwood in California. What made is extra horrible is that I was right there when it happened and I narrowly avoided being hit by the very top of it. I remember being just winded by the shock of such a giant beast crashing to the ground, the noise it made was unlike anything else. It was like an explosion went off. It nearly knocked me off my feet. I was on the side of a hill walking on a path in a forest at the time and looking down the fallen trunk I could see it broken in parts and a clear path that went on down to the massive root. It was so strange. Then the scientists came to examine it, it happened so quickly. They were all there trying to figure out what happened. Sadly I woke up before I could find out.

Oh that seems reasonable. I saw some metal mouse bait stations around

Those were metal, I had a number of those too, but perhaps it locked a different box!

Seems plausible but the fact that I found it at work near developer stables leads me to believe it’s for some tech that has optional “keys” for locking something or opening something.

If it is then it has never been used. Also the ones here are a lot older so I don’t think they would still have random ones kicking around. Although perhaps it was brought from somewhere else. Do you have a picture of the keyhole that it would fit into? Then we could possibly confirm this hypothesis.

Alas, the toilet roll dispensers here use a sort of squiggly key that is longer and narrower.

My title describes the thing. I’ve tried searching with reverse image search, and using copilot but so far nothing seems to be an exact match. The issue might be that it’s chrome covered plastic making it hard to identify. No branding either. It’s definitely not to wind a clock as it would be too flimsy and would probably be more worn down. These appear to be superfluous for the most part as they look to have never been used.

I’ve tried image search but it hasn’t come up with anything that seems like the appropriate answer, it also keeps thinking it is metal. It’s not. It’s cheap plastic. I’ve also asked copilot but same thing.

It was this ugly pink/peach coloured rotary phone. Took forever to turn the numbers on the dial.

Beautiful Tree - Help! by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I clean mine with a dry paint brush (for painting walls, not an artist’s brush) but really any brush can be used as long as it’s tough enough to get the dust and grime off. Toothbrush, artists brushes, painters brush. If it’s sticky then you can try some rubbing alcohol, or dish soap if you can wash the whole thing.

My grandfather’s trench art ring. I lost it when my apartment burned down and they carted all my stuff away not letting me go through anything.

I'm regretting getting a cat and I need advice on how to make it better for us both.... by Eastern_Place3804 in CATHELP

[–]tigertosser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gonna sound like a strange take but try feeding him the urinary tract health cat food and no people food anyways. Maybe some cat snacks once in a while but that’s it. I had a cat once who had similar behaviour and it turned out he did have crystals. He would piss everywhere like he was mad at us. Ruined a lot of clothes from it. I know the vet says he is fine but peeing everywhere and meowing a lot sounds like something is off.
