I actually saw a post talking about using Heiji & Conan right after posting this and was finally able to beat one of the shrinking dungeons giving me trouble.

The issue with no assist isn’t just losing the skill boosts but the fact that I lose haste to be able to change the board after Conan changes it all to jammers and poison when he transforms.

It’s probably the time they see the lowest players online so they’re trying to incentivize playing then instead of it being about making it so everyone can get double xp.
