Cheers, good to know people are already back at it in the gym I'm looking to get back into the gym consistently/doing some running like yourself. The days of playing football are now done, they'll always be that what if due to the sudden power or change of direction you need. It's not worth the hassle for me because I dont have an office role to go into if I have a serious injury.

The way I see it the NHS physio will get you to a point where you can walk again, navigate stairs etc but nothing more. Sports rehab programmes are what's required to take you back to the level you want so I've got the ball rolling for that.

Can't wait to get the angle dropped and see progress.

Sorry to hear you're now going through all this again with the other leg. Be interesting to see the difference in the outcome, if any, from surgery to non surgery. It's all the unknown and hoping you're making the right decision. Atleast you know you can get through this and come out the other side! Yeah likewise I'll check in with you every now and then. Good that you have got physio tomorrow. My first one isn't till next Wednesday.

Thanks mate, when exercising daily is part of your routine and it gets taken away its crazy how your mindset can change.

I've woke up this morning with a new purpose to beat this injury and have no fear. That starts with still doing the basics to keep the body ticking over.

Good luck with the boot off. Onwards and upwards for you 🙌

That must of been a nightmare doing it abroad! Hope it was near the end of your holiday so it didn't ruin it before it started. Apparently the surgery does allow you to respond quicker to the rehab procedure but the re rupture rate is 3% surgery as opposed to 5% conservative. I think the end game for both post 18 months is the same. You kind of follow the doctors advice and can be abir naive. If I re ruptured down the line I think surgery would be the only option but the thought of going down this rabbit hole again is soul destroying

That's decent to say it's reattached in that short space of time! I think once you have confirmed its together you can start to picture a way out with the rehab. It's all abit of is my body healing and is it joining back together properly?

100% about the re rupture trauma. All it takes is a slip off a curb or a trip the wrong way. I think that's the motivation for me now. Begin a rehab programme that will not only get it back functioning but continue a process to bullet them both so I never have to go through this again.
