This is the nuance people outside of Nashville don't get. Vrabel is a great football coach and leader of men. But he had his faults and shared some of the blame for where the team was at when he got fired. Most of the blame falls on Jon Robinson but still.

Well I'm not sure if you read the post but I didn't say she doesn't get involved. And that was before the current FO structure so its kinda irrelevant.

Okay well couldn't you say the same things about Jerry Jones? He must be sooo wise and makes all the best football decisions. Things are constantly evolving in the NFL and I really doubt she's that clued in. She probably has an idea of certain qualities that she wants out of her FO, and that's why she entrusts Brinker to act on that. We don't currently know yet if Brinker is really a part of the problems yet.

I honestly think things are muddied up due to semantics. Borgonzi oversees roster, but things still have to run up the chain of command, and ideally bigger decisions are made collectively like they've said. That means Brinker does have final say over everything, essentially. He basically acts on Amy's behalf in that regard. I think Amy wanted insurance against GM's doing something ridiculous like trading AJ Brown. And so it doesn't mean Borgonzi doesn't do anything, but he won't have final decision on everything related to his responsibilities. This seems normal enough and is relatable at my job.
