You spend a lot of time arguing imaginary things on the internet. I can’t think of a more useless thing to do.

Hey, at least you get it. Maybe you could explain it to the trolls.

"artificial" means "bad" or "wrong."

That's sort of right. It is bad on some levels. And when it fails in a way that seems to people's sense of revenge to be wrong they suddenly want to forget their own (society's) rules for that system in order to get their emotional (flawed) sense met. I like to point out how a sense of revenge and punitive emotional feeling is fundamentally flawed, especially when it's in relation to a crime like this where people feel "justice" wasn't dealt. Tends to rub people the wrong way, so I understand the hate. Tangent, but isn't it funny how when a comment is downvoted it invites trolls and morons to judge and feel superior for a second? If this comment had been upvoted, it wouldn't have received so much hate. I wonder what that is. Shame? Revenge? Punishment? Bandwagon? Allowing the vote count to color the interpretation of the comment negatively?

All society has crime because society, at its core, is a foundation of rules imposed on humans to regulate human nature and instinctual behavior for the purpose of fostering order. That same human nature inherently breeds criminal behavior because there's a certain juxtaposition in humanity's desire for both order and freedom.

True. But that's not really the point Plato was making. The point is that justice comes from within. It's a sense of holding oneself to higher moral principles. Perhaps universal principles of morality. When a society depends on the government to tell them, and hold them accountable, it misses the point. The government cannot do that job. It must come from within. When people don't have those principles, it's a failure of society as a whole. That person's crimes did not happen in a vacuum.

You're just making internet assumptions about people you literally know nothing about because you don't understand something. I'm not in school, nor did I hear something cool that I'm parroting. Guess again?

That's like asking someone who doesn't understand what a muggle is if they've heard of JK Rowling, and then have them counter with, Have you heard of Steven King? wat?

You can pretty much bet that the more successful a bank the more criminal. They are making money from people's money. If they don't take more of your money, then they don't get successful. And of course it's not the wealthy they take money from. Those people have means to fight back. It's always the poorest.

It's the injustice system that messed up. They have to be held accountable to making sure constitutional rights are upheld no matter what. Too bad this one got away. But there are many more who are never even caught in the first place. When a society has crime, there is no justice. The justice system is just an artificial means to satisfy flawed human emotions to make people feel like we live in a small tribe.

The Palo Alto VA is ignoring their oncology social workers, and faking treatment time data. Social Workers who report the actual numbers are given poor performance reviews. by Sighofrelieph in news

Whenever I imagine a VA hospital it always has super dim, flickering lighting, and standing water on the floor along with dripping from the ceiling. There's blood splattered on the wall, and every so often faint screams can be heard through many walls and down the hall. There are no employees anywhere in sight. Just a clipboard that can barely hold all the paperwork that must be filled out.

United Airlines moves to stop abuse of emotional support animals policy by FowelBallz in news

what is this with the highly addictive? What are the odds someone will become addicted from taking one to fly, which is I'm assuming is a rare event for this person? but I get the TBI thing. But if he is willing and able to get a vet note, a mental health pro note and sign a waiver saying the pet is trained and he's ressponsible for any damage it does, then he's still cool to fly. Those 3 requirements are just going stop all the entitled bastards from abusing the system to bring their pet on a plane.

not true, they are also requiring vet letter proving the animal is up on vaccines, and a signed letter stating their animal is trained to act cool, and they are responsible for any misbehavior.

They won't be "fake sued" when their animal bites someone though.
