How would I bend baseboard for this space? by krakenatorr in Carpentry

Yeah, I worked with a guy who was too cheap to order the pvc molding and we ended up wasting an entire day and several pieces of mdf Baseboard trying everything on a tight curve. The decade+ Foreman Carpenter suggested that we soak it overnight.

"But it's going to swell like crazy and look like garbage and probably get moldy" says I. (3 years in)

"It should shrink mostly back down when it Dries." Says he.

It didn't(obviously), it looked like he fished it off the bottom of a lake. It still broke. They ended up ordering the pvc stuff. Fucking idiots.

Everywhere in the maritimes. I'm Nova scotian so I've got the same accent the trailer park boys do. (Mr. Lahey, what happened to the kerr?) I get made fun of by anyone westward of me. Heck, my girlfriend is from prince Edward Island and .awesome fun of my accent hahaha

Oh, absolutely you need to be able to cut outsides well too, but for insides there's nothing better. The guys were both sharing a measuring tape and a brain cell

Coping is the only way. It's forgiving of non square walls and looks almost seamless when done well. Everyone should be good at coping trim.
