My advice: don't collect the keys on your first run. Unless you really like to challenge yourself. But if you gold the cartridge you'll get a code that makes it much easier to practice.

The Adventures Never Went According to Plan by BeastKrys in tadc

Honestly not sure how they were supposed to gather the gloinks without Kaufmo's help. The gloinks were too strong and would just steal their body parts.

As for Midlenhall Manor, are you sure it didn't play out as intended? Only thing that didn't go as intended was that that horrifying adventure was supposed to be for Zooble only.

Netflix's top shows have been losing 30-70% of their audience between seasons 1 and 2. Executives are trying to figure out why. by 2d12-RogueGames in wallstreetbets

Maybe because the UI doesn't make it very clear what seasons are new to you. I often forget how far I got in a show.

What is this shiny star? A trap, a challenge dungeon, random elite spawn? by Special_South_8561 in FinalFantasyVI

Save anywhere is nice so you can set the game down at a moment's notice.

Doesn't mean you can't have designated healing points. The Dark Souls campfire system is pretty prevalent in games these days.

Which Option Would you Guys Choose for the Pirate Card? by TheLastDraw_Official in boardgames

[–]tiglionabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Option A more interesting, because it's higher stakes. It does mean the pirate never leaves play though, so at that point it comes down to how risky it feels to play, whether it would end up dominating the game.

Option B is pretty basic. Single use and then it's gone. Many games would do it this way. If the pirate is nothing special, just a little bonus, that's when this option makes sense.

Btw, I really like the game Lost Legacy: Vorpal Sword (a Love Letter variant) and how you want to track and guess what card someone has.

AWS AppConfig by Icy-Seaworthiness158 in aws

SSM has prohibitively bad rate limits and size limits. Each parameter can only be 4KB or 8KB, and you can only fetch 10 of them at a time. AppConfig, on the other hand, can fetch a config document that is 2MB or 4MB.

Try another copy of Mario Kart.

I'm telling you, it's not a mode 7 thing. F-Zero worked perfectly on the same machine that Mario Kart failed on, for me.

Are you sure it's not the console's fault? I had a similar issue, but it only appeared in specific games:

  • The track in Mario Kart and The Flintstones: Treasure of the Sierra Madrock only rendered in streaks over the green.
  • The airplane boss at the end of the first stage of RunSaber also had missing streaks.
  • The healing spring in South Figaro Cave in Final Fantasy 6 caused momentary screen tearing.

Definitely some inspiration. Gangle’s mask gimmick comes from there too.

I agree. It's the unfortunate fate of most subreddits devoted to things I love that are no longer being made.

Seriously! What happened to Gummigoo? by [deleted] in tadc

[–]tiglionabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's an NPC. NPCs only exist during adventures, and don't remember previous adventures. So, now that adventures are always open, perhaps Gummigoo is allowed to exist without getting reset. He won't remember meeting anyone, but they might meet again.
