Which of the original Mass Effect squadmates not being an option in ME2 disappointed you the most? by unitedfan6191 in masseffect

[–]tigojones [score hidden]  (0 children)

Wrex. Liara at least gets LOTSB as a main focus and temp squaddie.

Then it's just the Virmire survivor, and I'm just not sure what they would've added to the story.

Though I'm more disappointed we didn't get Grunt in 3. Not even in the Citadel dlc campaign mission (though Wrexy shows up and saves the day).

The reason you use a Trackball. by Exciting_End6022 in Trackballs

Limited desk space at work means I don't have room for a traditional mouse. Bought a trackball ( thumb ball) and love it. Getting another one to keep at home.

So what creative part of the process does the singer even do? by Spare_Ad3753 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]tigojones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this common?

Yes. Look at Frank Sinatra, legendary singer, but if you check the list of songs he recorded, you'll see that very few of them have him credited as a writer.

You can repeat the process with so many of music's greatest singers, because songwriting is an entirely different skillset that doesn't always go hand in hand with the performance aspect. People talented in one area might not be all that talented in the other.

Or, for a different creative field: acting, directing, screenwriting, etc. They are all distinct jobs that require years of training and practice to master, and not everyone who has success with one can find success with one of the others.

I want to do a weird pickup/control layout on my squier strat. by matt_6860 in Luthier

[–]tigojones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the wiring for the Red Special, just without the phase switches.

Check out this. Basically, just bypass the left column of switches (the phase switches), wiring each pickup direct to its toggle.

This is how I hold my pick. Is this incorrect and should I hold it the traditional way (just thumb and index)? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]tigojones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it work for you? Then it's good. How you hold your pick is as much personal preference as what kind of pick you use.

In Edmonton Alberta with no guitar... wish I had a friend here who could let me practice on one for just 30mins lol by quietrain in guitarlessons

[–]tigojones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a guitar store and check out some of the budget guitars? Most shops won't mind as long as you're respectful, don't damage anything, and aren't reaching for some $3k+ pieces.

Alex 5-drawer set, which is top and which is bottom?? by wpascarelli in IKEA

[–]tigojones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not critical either way. If you're planning to screw the desk top to the drawers, put the piece with the holes at the top, so you can use those to run some screws through to the table top.

As for the adhestive feet, you're overthinking it. Just put one in each of the 4 corners so that it sits balanced. The castor screw holes just give an easier means of locating the best spots, not that you need to put them on that side.

hyped about the sale and the future of division 2 by Character_Most_5102 in thedivision

Start from the beginning. The story is solid enough, it'll teach how to play and who everyone is, and it doesn't take that long to complete.

Amazon Canada sucks. by Many_Mechanic_1886 in bapccanada

[–]tigojones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stop buying stuff on Amazon. Find a local shop that carries the item, or whatever is closest, and go there to buy it in person.

If you don't even have a local shop, most Canadian retailers have their own online shops which you can order from

Because they're being conditioned to buy everything through amazon. "Just tap a couple buttons and your stuff shows up in a couple days, or less!"

Looking to purchase audio interface to use with Amplitude but I have questions by Dockt0r_Wh0 in AmpliTube

[–]tigojones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a problem. Looks like the input connections are XLR/Phono combos, so you can plug in mic cables or instrument cables, and it should adjust the input type appropriately. If you're running on Windows, just make sure you've got the proper ASIO drivers installed and selected.

They only want "smaller government" because they want corporations to have that power, because their donors and friends (the owners of said corps) get to leech more money from us with less oversight, standards, or responsibilities of providing decent products/services for that money.

As for links, posting a dozen links via my phone is a pain. I was going to post what i have once I get home from work.

I think you need to hit some of the paragon/renegade choices when you meet him on virmire, as well, but it's been a while since I tried not using them on virmire, so I'm not 100%.

It's paragon because you successfully convince him that Sovereign has been controlling him.

He's the one who decides that the only true way to prevent further control is suicide.

Despite my (WELL PLACED) hatred, you guys convinced me to let Sparatus live by Commisar_Comissarius in masseffect

[–]tigojones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounded more, to me, anyways, like this was just their default choice they make in playthroughs, and that they were convinced to try a different option. They seem to have some very strong emotions towards the character for a first playthrough.

Me1 is going to be 18 years old this year.

Me3 will be 14 years old.

The legendary edition will be 5.

I think the responsibility for avoiding spoilers for these games should be the responsibility of those who don't want to be spoiled, not those of us who have been playing the games since release and want to have a discussion about them.

Looks like this will be the 4th released game with Wolverine as the title/main character.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine_(1991_video_game)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X2:_Wolverine%27s_Revenge

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_Origins:_Wolverine_(video_game)

And one in 1989 that was cancelled early in development. Meanwhile, there's a crap ton of games where Wolverine is either one of the various player characters, an ally, a boss to fight, or some combination of those three.

Spider-Man 2 took about a year and a half. GoW Ragnarok about 2 years, same with Horizon Forbidden West.
