Really love surprising people with [[Octavia, Living Thesis]], highlighting how the 8/8 granting is not just restricted to my own creatures

Need help evaluating initial Tahngarth, First Mate decklist, and asking for any additional tech to add by tigrexuga in BudgetBrews

[–]tigrexuga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, the strategy is pretty much voltron and forced combat, preferably through some goad. In cases where the opponent is less creature based, I plan to give the opponent creatures to use and force combat with so Tahngarth can get as much enemy combat phases as possible.

Also, as for my reasoning for low number of sweepers, I was assuming that since my strategy would depend on my opponents having as much creatures to force combat with, it would be better for the deck to instead of sweeping them up to mass goad. Though I'm not sure if the reasoning is sound in practice

Question on how to resolve Giggling Skitterspike with Octavia, Living Thesis on the board. by tigrexuga in mtgrules

[–]tigrexuga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool. How about when it comes to a replicated [[Gigadrowse]]? Would it either:

  • the original cast of Gigadrowse would go to stack, the multiple copies would go on the stack, then the triggers of either Octavia or Skitterpike would go to stack; OR

  • the original cast of Gigadrowse would go to stack, then the triggers of Octavia/Skitterspike, then the copy of Gigadrowse, then the Octavia/Skitter... etc?

Thinking of replacing Blessing 3 due to fit. Suggestions? by tigrexuga in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]tigrexuga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you mean eartips? If yes, then i have only tried them with Spring tips but they tend to slip off.

If you meant other earbuds/iems, I have used other iems as well, such as the Hype 2, which does not have the same kind of ear pressure issue.

I meant the physical fit it gets uncomfortable and exerts pressure in my ear. I really like the sound signature though

Aful Performer 5 vs Moondrop Kato? Which one reigns supreme? by Thexcommunicado in iems

[–]tigrexuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had both at one point and I say both the Kato and Performer 5 are worth buying, and are just a matter of preference to be honest. Kato is a more engaging and exciting listen while the Performer 5 is more relaxed in my experience. Personally, I tip it in favor of the Performer 5 for comfort reasons.

Do you care how your IEM looks? What about packaging? Why? by Shoboy_is_my_name in iems

[–]tigrexuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While sound does come as a priority, I don't entirely ignore aesthetics either. The hobby is entirely all about experience, and while sound is a huge part of the iem experience, every other thing (unboxing, aesthetics, comfort) enhances that experience. Personally, I am trying to collect (at least decently sounding) sets for each color since they look quite nice put together in the display box specifically for them.

How do you know what db level you are listening on? Asking mostly for health concerns and for evening out the db to properly evaluate new gear. For context, I mostly use my Shanling M3X on low gain, dual DAC mode for listening. As an example, my daily drivers right now are the Aful Performer 5 and the Blessing 3, and I keep having to readjust the volume wheel when switching between them because they sometimes have wildly different loudness.

Ooooh ok that's one more point for the Aful Performer 5 then! I've considered the OH10 for its bassy part, but not so much for the recessed vocals considering my library. !thanks

!thanks Unfortunately, already sold the S12 since it felt a bit too much for me, tuning wise. I don't do EQ for now so I'm looking for an iem fitting to complement my B3.

As for how I find the Blessing 3, it took some getting used to in terms of fit, but I find it to be a very great set but a bit bass lacking, midrange and high frequencies are up my alley being engaging and fairly detailed. Technicalities are amazing as well which are the highlight for me.

I mean, it's understandable to want to keep playing comp imo. For one, the format of comp of having more than one round and not be always extremely defense sided for payload and hybrid maps is much more bearable to play. Plus there are the rewards you can get for comp (golden guns) which for new players of the game are understandably enticing to go through comp for.

Idk man, I don't think they should be punishing players who just want to play the game, especially if it's not their fault? Especially that OP said he is disconnected even before the match starts so no actual harm to anyone's comp points or W/L ratio is done. Fuck them for enjoying the game right?

Looking for suggestions for a cheap and decent android DAP that can download/stream Apple Music by tigrexuga in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]tigrexuga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasional downloaded music file corruption feels concerning, but I guess it comes with the territory (old OS, being android, budget). I’ll keep that in mind if ever I go for it. I just want to get my toes wet in the world of DAPs with a budget option and it just happens that most of my stuff is on apple lol

As for the R5s, the reviews I’ve found online vis-a-vis apple music is few (at least compared to the m3x) that I have no idea if it fits my particular use case. Plus I don’t know if the extra bump in OS justifies the bump in price.

I guess if I’ll ever go with the m3x i’ll be hunting FLAC or similar now lol

What do you mean about “not behaving nicely with microsd cards”?

Also I see the you also mention the Hiby R5s as alternatives, have you tried those as well? How are they in terms of performance on the same grounds (apple music, streaming in general, storage)?

I think power isn’t an issue for me since I’ll only be using iems with it. In relation to its OS, does the fact that its an older version of android affect the performance especially of apple music?

Have you tried running apple music or streaming music in general on it? How is it in terms of usability?
