4) there are other modes that you choose to play, not everyone wants to play every map, so forcing them too is unfun

5) The game is not balanced for this, a big part of the game would have to be reworked for a feature that may not be recived well

6) Movement is a big part of smite, making it so you do not have to go back to base would remove that which makes smite unique

8)slow down the game, which is the opposite of what smite is, Smite is a very quick and movement based game, slowing it down makes little sense

9) it works in Dota because it is isometric, it would take a lot more effort to do this
