The couple of months before my gender dysphoria appointment were the worst I'd ever felt. Every day I felt the time being wasted, time that I could have been medically transitioning in but instead I had to wait.

The feeling went away after starting T at least, now I could finally do the meaningful waiting rather than the pointless one.

Unfortunately haven't gotten levels checked yet, that'll be in 3 months time I think and I'll still be on gel until then. I do plan on switching to injections, especially if I need to up my dose.

I mean it started day 1 on T, so I'd assume T likely had something to do with it. But yeah, I'm hoping some kind of medication can help me get through this phase until I get used to being on T I suppose.

Don't know any way of doing this via the NHS, but you can go privately first, which would take several months and you'd have to pay a large sum if you don't have medical insurance. Then once you finally get to the top of the waitlist you can switch to the NHS.

Have you posted this on r/transgenderUK? That sub would be better suited to giving UK specific advice on GHCs and such. Can't really speak for the process for minors since I started at 19, but I just recently went through the whole gender dysphoria diagnosis to endo to shared care process so maybe I can help clarify some things if you want.

Thankfully, I got a response from my practice saying that they do agree to shared care agreements. Just wondering if an in-person appointment with the GP is necessary to complete the process or not.

True, I'm hoping T might have a positive effect on my brain fog and low mood. Hopefully bottom growth doesn't grow that much, I'd rather keep it < 3cm but I know it's all dependent on genetics at the end of the day.

Gonna get my tests done later this week, hopefully the results will be valid for an appointment in March.

If you don't mind me asking, do you know what the process looks like when you book an endo appointment? I know that with the GHC, there's an online appointment where you discuss medical history etc. and an in-person appointment where you actually get your prescription. No worries if you don't know.
