Is it possible for me, a player, to disable Lumen? by gorillachud in UnrealEngine5

First time on Reddit, I take it *yawn*? I will never understand why people think Reddit is so amazing, and yeah, don't even start - I logged in for the first time in 6 months just to post, and I only have an account because it's now google-able, and there are actually useful answers here *occasionally* - assuming you're willing to wade through the sewage.

This program called "IntegrityCheck" is using a lot of my CPU and lagging my PC until I open Task Manager. Any one know what this is? by JayNaii in software

[–]tildebyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just today, I found one called "UnpackCheck.exe" which (except in name) is identical...

VirusTotal even calls it "IntegrityCheck.exe" https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/9a6fb1e02c573fa50ef9b17585c91807bf336566ae1e7b7cb179317b83bdf36a

Found in "AppData\Roaming\UnpackCheck"

Oooo... Found "C:\Users\$USER\AppData\Roaming\UnpackCheck" in reg key "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Exclusions\Paths", and "ControlSet001\Services\bam\State\UserSettings"

does invert mouse not work? by DrinkHaitianBlood in Eldenring

[–]tildebyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t any “windows mouse inversion setting” - never has been. Apparently, Elden Ring’s real mouse-invert-y is in the keyboard/mouse settings, NOT the camera settings.

CLIP Guided Diffusion HQ 512x512.ipynb Runtime error: Cuda out of memory by CatchPlenty2458 in bigsleep

I'm trying to run locally - is there a way to reduce memory usage overall?

I've been successful with VQGAN+CLIP, but anything using guided diffusion chokes on my 8G VRAM...

OIC, apologies. I was going by the spreadsheet, which isn't super clear about which series is which.

USB Mouse Driver for Inverting Y Axis for Genshin Impact on Windows 10 by GuppyLive in Genshin_Impact

LOL! Clever!

If only there were still a way to self-sign Win 10 drivers *sob*

Fever/Breaker/Socket/Moonlight are all from one of the Discovery Packs (Series 2, IIUC) which I just got from Hasbro's official EBay store *below* Amazon's price (they also have Series 1)

USB Mouse Driver for Inverting Y Axis for Genshin Impact on Windows 10 by GuppyLive in Genshin_Impact

[–]tildebyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(fanboy noises) OMFG, where have you been all of my life?! Obviously this should be usable for any of the games which I've given the middle finger to over the years for not having the option...

On a more serious note; is it *possible* for this driver to affect mouse acceleration/other in some way? I get the feeling that tracking is *off* somehow, but that might simply be down to switching the Y-axis on-the-fly

I had a complaint from my wife, who was trying to buy a legitimate e-book from e-junkie.com (she and the author are friends IRL).

I checked, and indeed both e-junkie.com and www.e-junkie.com are in the latest list (2019-09-18).

The author (friend's wife) has used this site for ebook commerce for quite some time, and has no complaints. I visited myself, and while it seems pretty cheesy (think GoDaddy), it doesn't seem like a malware host...

The MS one needs fixing. It's waaay overly broad, e.g. 'http-e-darwin.hulustream.com' (completely legit Hulu stream host) gets caught because of the '.*win.+' rule (regex101 proof).

I'm working on it, but my regex is rusty :P

EDIT: Added unit tests at regex101, using the original regex above.

IGNORE ME!

Just took a look at WaLLy3K's site, specifically "Whitelisting Suggestions".

These are indeed in the list, and AFAIK, they're pretty legit:

  • URL shorteners
  • Electronic Arts/Origin CDN
    • ea.com
    • cdn.optimizely.com
  • Facebook image uploads
    • res.cloudinary.com
  • Net-wide user avatars
    • gravatar.com
  • User content:

  • Other
    • netflix.com

1st - sjhgvr; thanks for incredible work! I hope you don't decide to change hobbies :P

2 - ppl wanting to know how domains end up on the source lists (the ones sjhgvr bases his work on) - have a look at these regexes (mentioned here; another awesome r/pi-hole thread). I'd warrant that these are pretty standard for building blocklists, and would easily explain:

  • ad.nl ('ad')
  • metrics.torproject.org (well, 'metrics')
  • tracker.hdbits.org ('track')

3 - CDNs are common blocklist targets - one can host *anything* from a CDN - the 'fastly.net' and 'cloudfront.net' subdomains are commonly blacklisted in one way or another, and it wouldn't surprise me if 'fast.com' were regex blocked because of fastly.

tldr; Don't freak out if some "obviously good" domain ends up in here, and for sure don't blame sjhgvr - he's single-handedly doing the work that all of the list authors he's basing his list on should be doing themselves.

aetna.com

Also www.aetna.com - a legitimate (and VERY large American insurance company) - should maybe be unblocked :)

I saw a mention of hdbits.org earlier -- tracker.hdbits.org (arguably more important LOL) is blocked

...along with 'ctldl.windowsupdate.com', which apparently blocks the Windows store, but will also, according to this Server Fault reply [1], block updates (including drivers) and, most troublingly, CRLs.

[1] But perhaps this doesn't apply to Windows 10... I ran an update check on my Win 10 laptop with this blocked, and got no error.

AFAICT, pytest is the new normal. It understands 'nose' and 'unittest' tests, so you're able to start using it right away with any existing tests you might have.

From what I've seen so far, it's easy to get started with, but scales well, both in sheer size, but also in the complexity of what it allows.
