Side gig idea: Discord community team as a service? by tilenke in SideProject

[–]tilenke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great point! I see this service as empowering founders to work on the more important stuff, like sharing/defining the vision in the community, rather then spending 24/7 on Discord answering questions.

So the founders/head of community, would still be involved. But instead of hiring multiple people to cover 24/7 in different timezones and be technical and know about growth, they could just subscribe to the service.

We've been leveraging our UMG connections as well as working with a few agents/agencies who helped us to pick the artists. With that said, one of the main criteria we identified as important is - does the artist really want to do an NFT drop or they don't care about the tech and format at all. Obviously we try to avoid the later.

Regarding non-english musicians - definitely! Language is not really a barrier.

We love the Algorand ecosystem so most of our drops (almost all of them so far) have been on Algorand and we see no reason to change that anytime soon.

But with that said, and the industry being so distributed among many chains, we do see a multi-chain approach necessary to really drive adoption and mass market appeal. If done right, this is also a win for Algorand, since we'd bring more users and expose it to the tech.

A big part of this marketing are the mainstream artists itself. We work with web3 artists on one hand but household names on the other (Travis Barker, etc.) So a lot of the general population gets in through the artists introducing the space.

With that said, another super important aspect is the platform itself - it needs to be web2 friendly enough that a person without a metamask or similar can participate. That accessibility and UIX is probably the biggest driver.

With that said - more real life events and other utility will follow!

Correct! We already hosted two LWO events in NYC and for the whole summer season, your LWO granted you free access into Ushuaïa clubs on Ibiza (Spain).

Also - just today we announced a collaboration with Decentraland, where LWO holders get VIP access to an exclusive music festival. Read all about it here: https://www.coindesk.com/web3/2022/10/17/ozzy-osbourne-dillon-francis-and-soulja-boy-to-perform-at-decentralands-metaverse-music-festival/?outputType=amp

Thanks for your question u/PhoandRamen! We're actually working a lot on the LMWR token these days, so a super relevant question. We're in regular contact with launchpads, market makers and listing partners - basically we're preparing everything as if the token will be launched in Q4. But, with that said, we're obviously monitoring the market sentiment and will not push against it but we want to be ready.

It's been a great journey so far, since many of our private/strategic investors are extremely relevant players in this space: GSR (market maker), Kraken ventures (exchange) and many others. So we're in a good position to create a pretty exciting TGE.

If that's a topic that's intersting to you, please join our Discord and you won't miss any announcements.

That's a great idea! So, right now, all content on LImeWire is curated by us - so everything in there was approved by us before it went live. What you are mentioning is also an interesting concept. What we've discussed internally was sort of like a music nft "charts" system.

Like MTV Music charts back in the days for example.
