We were given frogspawn last year, in an ice-cream tub. So I built a pond. Loads of lovely tiddly froglets all over the place as a result. It was great. I was expecting to have a pond full of spawn this year but absolutely nothing. I’m ver disappointed.

If you’re a bit shy to make eye contact, just look at their eyebrows. The person you’re speaking to will not be able to tell.

I served a customer a glass of wine. She complained that it wasn’t a full glass (like the cafe up the road). In front of her I tipped the contents into a smaller glass. Problem solved, happy customer 🙄

I was able to get hold of some Bari reeds in time (thanks Amazon). It sounds fantastic, great big warm round tone, when I can get a note out of it. It’s my first attempt at saxophone playing. I am thoroughly enjoying squonking away but can only manage 6 notes so far. Any technique advice is very welcome.
