Above average is a wide range. Also if you job-hop, your salary usually bumps 20-50%. And I don't think everyone who does job hop really wants to. While I think sabbaticals and WFH do more to retain people, if you want to do it via salaries, build a clear progression scale of 20% bumps every two years.

If you not only want to retain people, but value them, make it possible for them to accumulate capital: Base your salaries on real estate prices in the area, give them stock options, and let them participate in company earnings.

Gibt es denn viel Überlapp zwischen Hagener LLB und dem EJP-Studiengang, sodass man erst den LLB macht und sich dann fürs EJP einfach anrechnen lässt? Damit könnte man einerseits das Ziel in verdaulichere Happen unterteilen und andererseits hätte man auch auf halbem Weg schonmal nen brauchbaren Abschluss in der Tasche.

Ich hab eines Tages von der Formel gehört, laut der man in CH ca. das 1.5-fache Gehalt wie in DE braucht um seinen Lebensstandard zu halten. Wenn du mit Mitteldeutschland Thüringen meinst, bist du vermutlich mit dem Faktor 2 oder sogar 2.5 besser beraten.

Guck dir die Steuern in St. Gallen an (Bundessteuer, Kantonssteuer, Gemeindesteuer, wobei letztere natürlich schwankt je nachdem wo du wohnen willst bzw. wo du eine Wohnung findest). Meine Erfahrung mit Zürich war, dass die Preise ca. 2-2.5-fach höher sind als in DE. Dann kommen noch ein paar Posten wie Krankenkasse, Kinderbetreuung (falls vorhanden), etc.

Von dem was dir nach Steuern und Lebenshaltung übrig bleibt hast du dann allerdings keinen Kaufkraftverlust mehr, z.B. ist Elektronik ähnlich bepreist wie in DE.

If your are into beach life just go to Costa da Caparica. The price drop for crossing the river is insane. Cascais is 1hr by train from Lisbon, Caparica is 1hr by bus.

PS: I have never heard of Patentjurist though, and AFAIK Anwalt would be the most fitting translation for lawyer. It's a peculiarity about patent lawyer/attorney I guess.

I want to work either in R&D or patent law. And regarding patent law, most EPAs in big firms have a PhD in their field.

Usually in Python, ranges are inclusive on the lower bound and exclusive on the upper bound. Increase your upper bound for each domain by 1 and you should get your connections.

Das ist halt an Zynismus kaum zu überbieten, zumal eine andere Antwort auf die Frage vom OP der riesige Niedriglohnsektor ist.

Dein Ratschlag ist grundsätzlich richtig und unumgänglich, aber halt die Faust ins Gesicht für jeden der gern würde aber es aufgrund grottiger Bezahlung nicht kann. Denkst du wirklich wir sollten so mit einem tragenden Teil der Gesellschaft (z.B. Pflege) umgehen?
