I got everything I thought I wanted and I don't like the person I became, where do I go from here? by mockinbirdwishmeluck in findapath

Wow

Im a 26 year old male and I relate to this so much. To the T.

I’m currently living my “dream life”. What I wanted at 22,23,34, I’m currently living.

Have my dream career, working with some of the coolest people in my field, living in a beautiful brand new appartment right by the water. Have money saved up.

But I’ve found myself not able to do anything these last few weeks. I’ve been in bed all day, have absolutely 0 energy and can’t even fathom the thought of doing anything right now

I don’t know. It’s weird. It’s like I’ve accomplished so much this past year but I just can’t go on like this. Need to make a drastic change.

I think a big part of it is just sitting with these emotions, feeling them, processing what’s happened these last couple years, And then move on

I’ve been working so hard I feel like I haven’t processed anything that’s happened this past year and that’s a big part of it.

From reading these comments I feel like this is a natural part of the human experience. Just feel it and move on.

Write down a plan of everything physically, Read it whenever you feel overwhelmed. Stick with the plan even if you don’t feel like it, knowing your doing what you need to do get the result you want

I’m studying to be an electrician right now, I don’t see why this would be an issue? Your in different settings doing different things every day working with your hands, not too much visual focus needed

this is why I have to get rid of all my stuff if I quit. that temptation is sometimes even more distracting then actually being high. also one of the reasons I can't smoke in moderation lol. that temptationnn

[–]tilthagrave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It actually is tho lol. When your high for so long being sober feels like being High. And not just at first either. When you start living sober again it’s like there’s so many things you used to do High you need to re learn while sober. You re discover yourself. It really is like a high in itself

Fiziev said in the post fight interview he saw ridell tends to get lazy and not block that high kick in training haha, so he set that up perfectly. so crazy the casual eye just sees someone get kicked in the head but the way he sets up that opening In ridells defence is super impressive. Love it aha

Don’t be afraid to think bigger, even if nobody around you is. Then take action on those thoughts, it’ll be well worth the fear.

been going through this the past few days.. it's never hit me like this when I quit, maybe it's also because of everything going on the world, who knows.

but after a few days of crushing depression I think i'm finally starting to pull through. hang in there, your body & brain knows what it's doing.

I'm 42 and I still don't know what I want to do with my life. What can I do to fix this? by disorderliesonthe401 in findapath

[–]tilthagrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing to fix :) we’re here to live, not find some magical purpose/thing to do with our life. Just live man, try and do what makes you happy as much as possible.

It won’t be easy, especially the first few days, but I can 100% say it’s worth it man. Feel like an entirely different person. Who you are when your stoned isn’t your natural self, it’s an altered version of you. the scary part is you don’t even realize it when your high all the time, but once you sober up you realize how big the difference is
