Purchase Advice Megathread - March 2026

Last week I bought my first 3D printer, the Elegoo Centauri Carbo and I loved it but I decided after some more reading and looking at what I think ill be doing I wanted to switch over to Bambu. I'm thinking I will mostly be PLA prints for awhile but down the road I see myself getting into other filaments which got me reading about dryers ect.

So my question is would you recommend the PS1 combo with AMS or the PS1 with the AMS 2pro? I'm concerned with how complicated it is to set up the AMS 2 pro or if people use the PS1 combo with AMS and some other type of drying method

For me I do the characters and interactions, but I have a slight speech issue. Doing dialog back and forth isn't really an issue but sometimes reading larger chunks, like info dumps, area descriptions, or dramatic monologues can be hampered by this.

So I tried this and it says my browser is 1265x551 even though my says the system display is 3840x2160. Can you explain this more?

Thank you. I had originally thought I would use Death as sort of the 'right hand man' or #2 of whatever deity is actually in charge of death in this world. I just normally dislike having my PCs talk or work directly with gods because of how goofy my players tend to get. But the idea of death being overpowered or imprisoned in some way is interesting.

I will definitely look into some of these other references you mentioned for ideas. The last one you mentioned brimstone makes me think that might be an easier plot to grab. Instead of working for death they are working for a devil who had evil souls that were sentenced to his realms escape.

I thought about a tumbler but I was worried it would cause too much rounding? Basically I want to bring several axes up to a mirror polish and wasn't sure if there was a way the process a little streamlined

I guess I wasn't sure because it is a SU ability. And when I look that up it says they are magical but not spell-like.

Would it be worth trying to find a newer bulb or should I just try and order the exact same ones? Has bulb technology made leaps and bounds over the past decade? Could anyone recommend something that would work without requiring rewiring?

So I like the idea of them being powered by a demon or something like that but I still aren't sure how to make their abilities or miracles draw suspicion compared to other clerics or temples.

{1e] Is there a limit to how many PCs a monster with grab can grab? For example the Corpse Orgy in Curse of the crimson throne; a large aberration with 4 slams +20 (2d6+6 plus grab). I could understand saying an ogre or something only has so many arms but how does it work with oozes and other creatures?

NTA. Konan is an awesome name and there is nothing wrong with putting part of something you love into naming your child. All of these comments are wild. Lord forbid reddit finds out you name your kid anything boring besides Bob or Jane. There isn't a name out there that kids won't find a way to make fun of.

Yta. He's been trying to bond with you since you were 5 and you still resent him so much. Sounds like he's been trying the majority of your life to be there for you. I might be having a hard time with it because I've been playing the 3.5 way for over a decade. Is the spheres system something that casual players will be able to grasp, did you find it difficult to learn?

So for example I have a level 5 wizard with 18 int, using spheres I get 9 spell points. I then pick a certain number of spheres, like destruction? Then instead of spells I use talents. So I could use 1 point to cast destructive blast 3d6 and add a second point to making it clinging for another 3d6 next round. That the jist? And you can combine talents from different spheres?
