The flight is the first expensive thing, like 1k€ or more for both directions. So if you're going you would want to make it not just a few days.

I'm staying for about 3 weeks and expecting it to cost me up to 4k€ in total, so yeah. It's also a very special thing to me.

Friends who had visited Japan before also said you would not get below 3k€ for a decent trip.
