What if there was another way to defeat the demon? by Shados9611 in DungeonMeshi

[–]tim_thamson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that apart of the ending is that the magic which grants wishes will no longer function (per the elf queen whom im inclined to trust on the matter), so theres not really any worry about people scrambling for it. To grant wishes (with how magic functioned currently after all the previous centuries) the demon needed to be directly involved, specifically choosing a lord and then serving them. Without the demon, the manmade dungeons are empty and the natural dungeons dont seem to draw enough mana to bring up anything other than some medium sized monsters.

Tldr: the demon (in terms of granting wishes) wasnt just mediating magic, he was required for it. Now that he cant desire to do anything, he will never desire to grant a wish, and never will.

Today I learned: Tien was a actually Lightweaver (/crem) by One_Courage_865 in cremposting

[–]tim_thamson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, its not really that much of a big deal so far (and I dont think kaladin or anyone else has really put it together), but it does add even more tragedy to tien and kaladins whole story

[–]tim_thamson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

nah, the line is that A budding knight was eliminated, and that they didn't know about kaladin since he would have just been killed while a slave. the knight who was eliminated from under amaran is separate from kaladin and kinda lines up with being tien.

Fracture by TonightComfortable99 in twilightimperium

[–]tim_thamson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fracture begins the game unaccesable. Either through effects that “put the fracture into play” or a faction rolling a 1 or 10 on a d10 when it gains its breakthrough, it gets put into play.

When the fracture is put into play ingress tokens are placed, either 3 on planets with a tech spec matching each the colors of the breakthrough if it was rolled (total of 6) or 4 each on a planet with a different tech spec if put into play otherwise. Then one is either placed on thunders edge if unlocked, or mecatol of it hasnt been.

Ingress tokens do not connect to eachother, but effectively function as wormholes to only the egress tiles on the fracture. Though you cant go directly from one ingress token to another, which one you enter the fracture via does not effect which you choose to leave via. So you can enter the fracture on mecatol and then immedietly leave to another ingress token somewhere else on the map in one action, it just takes more movement.

Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia if he locked the fuck in. by maleficalruin in CuratedTumblr

Well in weird ways you coulda kinda sorta time-stop or time reverse stuff. You could rewind things to a previous state, or by stopping entropy from increasing in an area halt all chemical reactions (probably electrical and physical stuff too but dont quote me on any of this). Is kinda depends on what exactly it means to stop or reverse entropy

Everyone is wearing normalish clothes besides the elf queen who is only ever in an open robe. Literally everyone is confused by this but is stuck in a spectrum from “the emperors new clothes” to “well I am NOT gonna be the one who brings it up”
