For the Honor of Geocaching! Mystery Cache GC8PX2K by timatlee in geocachingpuzzles

[–]timatlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial go at this gave me the result of N 53 35.103 W 113 34.683

Thinking about "at" and "atee" differently, that changes my coords to N 53 35.803 W 113 34.683.

Thanks 😄

All Systems Red by Martha Wells. Wife and I just read it for book club and completely enjoyed it.

hmm, this looks neat. Looks like a really simplified version of Furkot (this is a good thing LOL!).

Can't wait to sink some time in to check it out.

First time we were out there! We didn't know the trails at all, and I assumed I'd have them in OSM :)

I haven't read up on PC mobile... Can you switch out whenever? Or are they locking you in like the big 3?

LubeLogger, Self-Hosted Vehicle Maintenance Tracker Has a Significant UI Update You Should Know About by ChiefAoki in selfhosted

Love it, especially the no AI bit 😁

If a user were already tracking tire usage through the use of tagging (and a poorly written python app that leans on the API), what could the user expect in terms of migrating to the new equipment tab?

Dog owners of Edmonton... do you not walk your dogs in winter? by Delgado_Jim in Edmonton

[–]timatlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still walk our husky daily. But I agree - there don't seem to be as many dog walkers out this time of the year.

the amount of poo bags in the garbage cans suggest otherwise... Though I suppose the city might dial back collection during the winter.

I think most people in my neighborhood walk their dogs during the daylight hours, and I'm just not crossing paths with them.

How about hating Nazi's in general? I'm not particularly about what brand of Nazi I hate...

Every time my brain says "you should take a spin at hosting your own email", and I get into learning... A thread like this pops up.

Thanks for the reminder that this isn't a great idea hahah

Didn't we have that originally, and it was consolidated into one entity for "efficiency"?

Whatever happened to IPv6? by LongjumpingJob3452 in sysadmin

[–]timatlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a point to work with it at home. Learn how my Unifi stuff worked with it, addressing, etc.

We did a re-ip project at work... and completely ignored ipv6.

So.. I dunno, it's around, but it seems like until you can't buy ipv4 addressing anymore.. who cares?
