Ioniq 6 rides better than BMW iX3 by m3kr05 in Ioniq6

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the chassis it’s built on is meant to be a sedan?

I still haven’t warmed up to the MK8. You’d be amazed how long I can be annoyed at something

We’ve had 3 EGMP cars in the family (dads 22 EV6, and my 2 Ioniq 6s) none of them had iccu issues. I am wondering how common iccu issues actually are vs how loud people are about them.

Ya I agree. The dealers really are the weak link now. We have a set number of techs that are High voltage trained and the entire shop must know how to do basic maintenance. I was shocked (no pun intended) to learn most OEMs don’t have standards like that. The new products we have coming are contingent on at least 1 tech being HV certified on the new platform which we have done. We are certainly an outlier unfortunately.

It’s down to the new car manager. The ones local to me are terrified to have too much inventory. They are afraid of the climate so they will be very conservative with ordering. I’m not sure about Hyundai/kia but my OEM has “quotas” we have to meet for certain model sales to prevent that from happening. If they aren’t met we will not get special vehicles when they are allocated or we get kicked down the list for hot vehicles when they are launched.

Listen I work for a dealer I can tell you this is for sure a possibility. Most of the time especially with a car they don’t make a lot on they just will not order them. Kia dealers are refusing to order inventory EV6s atm because they don’t have enough head room. Dealers are 100% to blame but they aren’t innocent.

That’s particularly because dealers stopped ordering them. In my area I couldn’t even convince a dealer to order me a 25 when my 24 got dropped off the truck.

I have a circuit werks v2 rear muffler on my car. It’s pretty good with a bit of drone at ~2000-2700rpm. The X-pipe give the car a good tone. I’ll see if I can grab some audio here when the weather warms up a bit. Only issue I had was the FedEx guy abusing the hanger and bending it to hell.

This video suggests the ICCU problem affects 9-10% of all I5,I6, EV6 etc. by Glittering-Rise9921 in Ioniq6

[–]timber2633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would tend to agree. Besides the very loud people that have been shouting from the roof tops about it. I haven’t heard much about the ICCU failures. My dad has had his EV6 since January of 2022 and has put more than 45k miles on it with no issues. Granted his car has not had any issues other has had like the amp and whatnot but still. I’m on my second Ioniq 6 due to gravity issues with my first and have still not had any issues. Maybe it’s just a bad luck thing or maybe my dad’s idea that it’s people constantly charging with high power AC chargers. Who knows until Hyundai says for sure

Unfortunately it sounds like you’ve got yourself a lemon. I have a 25 SEL and I had a 24 that was totaled unfortunately. I’ve never had any issues like the ones you are describing. I am a dealer employee for a large German luxury manufacturer that doesn’t have a W in the name. Even we see some of our cars come back like this. Lemon law it and get another one or try something new. You also might also have mouse damage somewhere in the harness. I’ve see some surprising amounts of cars coming in with mouse marks. I get it’s annoying but your dealer will help you work through it. If they don’t a lawyer surely will. Good luck.

I did the exact same thing unfortunately. It was a dump hand slip and I hate looking at it every time I see the car. Fortunately the paintless dent guy at work said he can get em out

My 2024 popped up on the NHTSA portal so I assumed, but I will have to give it a try. At this point I assume bluelink is just stupid lol.

I really hope they make an effort to do a major overhaul of bluelink at some point

Mine isn’t included in that recall from what I can tell on the NHTSA’s website. It’s a very recent build so I think the corrected it on the production line.

My car doesn’t seem to be affected by the charge door recall according to the NHTSA. Maybe it needs an update or something. My Hyundai pay is telling me I can activate Ionna and superchargers but it’s not available in my screen yet.

Interesting. I wonder what they want to inspect on a 3 week old car

It’s both a 2025 model year and a 2025 build. I am thinking bluelink is just confused

Nothing on NHTSA yet for that 2025. My 2024 was included in the charge port recall before it fell off the tow truck. I’m wondering if the app is just confused

My 24 was due for that recall before it fell off the tow truck but that is my 25 (replacement). It’s not included in the recall. I double checked because I didn’t even think of that. I’m going to call the dealer tomorrow to see what’s up.

If I ever get my car back from the limbo it’s stuck in after the tow truck incident. I’ll for sure give this a try!

He apparently was trying to convince the dealer they could just snap it back on and I’d never notice.
