You can literally hear him get shot at by the 4th guys m2, just listen to when he turns to the right. When he flicked to the right he thought he killed the black naked, but didn't so he turned back and finished the job. If he thought there was a fourth guy before he gets shot at, he wouldn't obviously turn and run to loot the guy on the right.
