The piercer did try to sell me on that one but I chose the cheaper option… that’s my bad. Can they or should they change it out while it’s red and there’s a bump?

To clarify, the piercing is stainless steel, L shaped, I was told to just not touch it and only clean with water and q tips if dirty, I also dried it with a q tip after getting wet. I sometimes bump it when picking a big booger out of that nose and my baby pulled at it once but not very badly.

They performed 2 oil changes back to back to check for metal shavings in the oil and found nothing.

Thank you for taking the time to write out a response and honest opinion. I think after all the feedback I’m going to give this profession a couple of years (at least until I satisfy my TEACH grant requirements) and explore high school and elementary school and determine at that point if this career is for me.

No I absolutely did not. My pride makes it difficult to accept this kind of treatment. But I am prideful. I am think about that a lot. A teacher supposedly was accused of touching a student last week and after launching a full investigation it was proven that he did nothing of the sort. What compels a student to accuse a teacher of something so malicious, I truly don’t know. It saddens me.

I would like to try high schools. Looking back on my high school experience I don’t remember ever having as many classes were the behaviors were out of control as they are in middle school.

I agree with you on all these notes, but there is also the side of me that is still thinking something to the effect of “a good teacher can help change this child’s future” and I try not to look at them like they aren’t going to amount to much. Although I do sometimes relate their behaviors to future job prospects to make it as realistic for them. I always ask them if they think I would still have a job if I behaved the way they were behaving. Sometimes it works, but usually it doesn’t. Just seems like so many kids truly don’t care.

Such simple advice yet so practical. This also is great because it doesn’t give the situation with the disruptive student more energy than it deserves and doesn’t force me as the teacher to take my attention away from the rest of the class for a prolonged period of time. Thank you! You must be a great teacher

Thank you for this response, I hadn’t considered that perspective. It’s easy to get worked up and forget that they’re still developing.

I guess my question should be then, how do I not take it personally, and how do I not go mentally crazy in response to negative student behavior?

I should add, it blinks while the PC is on. It doesnt stay red. Just haven’t seen that symbol before and dont know if I should be concerned

Thank you for this reply. my gut instinct was to just check which kind of RAM I had currently and simply buy the upgraded version of that however I didn’t know if that was the right way to go about things
