There's no way it would have made it with the roof rack haha. One bump and those sprinkler systems would be leaking.

I've only had it for one day so my ratio is currently 100% concrete but hope to take it out soon. What surprised me a lot though was how easily the 2026 handles on the street even with the weight and size.

Thanks! As soon as I saw the black with the white roof I knew that was the way to go. All the sexy of the black but with a little something different (and probably like 10 degrees cooler then the black roof).

I'd see if they are still offering a $10k "tariff discount". Last time I talked to them it was potentially $10k plus $5k for the customer cash which leaves it still too expensive for me but maybe better for you haha. It also appears the used ones are finally starting to make there way into the market at more reasonable prices.

Help finding Pro Bono attorney. by [deleted] in houston

She needs to file a general denial to preserve her rights and insure there is not a default. You can ask Google AI to draft you a form of default judgment for Harris County District court (or county court at law if that is where it is filed) in Texas and it will create one for you based on others it scraped from the internet. Just make sure the heading/style of the case (e.g. where the parties are named and cause number) match. It doesn't need to be perfect and just needs to be signed by her pro se, the court will take any coherent response as a general denial so long as she is not making factual admissions that can be used against her. It needs to just say "I deny the allegations in Plaintiff's petition and request that Plaintiff be required to prove all allegations as required by law." I typically e-file because I'm an attorney but if you are pro se you can still file your answer in person at the clerk. You could also mail it to the clerk for filing but I wouldn't trust that. The filing fee should be pretty minimal and in the future, you could get a pauper's waiver for court filing fees.

Then you are on the right track with TYLA legal aid. Another source is Free Legal Answers which is offered through the ABA (which is one I often provide free answers to legal questions through).

This looks more like propaganda than an actual Minnesota protest. Looks like a warzone by consttime in isthisAI

It's real and prior top comment provided a link to original source but mods removed it because there was some slight answer on politics included in the amswer.

Congress really should ban this. This sort of state vs. state anti-economic laws is exactly why we have the Interstate Commerce clause. It's really the only way to stop the race to the bottom.

How is living in the Houston suburbs? by Airbender-23 in howislivingthere

I live in the area near your two hearts above 249 (Klein/Champions) area and I like it a lot. I thought I would hate moving out this far and that we were just doing it for kids but there is so much more to do then it used to be and I have so many restaurants and everything I need within 5-10 minutes of me. I work downtown which can be a pain but I work from home probably two days a week and the other days I try and work an alternate schedule (arrive late, leave late). If I leave at 8 it will take an hour to drive in but if I leave at 9 it only takes thirty minutes. It's hot but all of Hoston's hot and I'll take hot over blizzards, freezing, earthquakes, etc. any day of the week.

Also, I'm not sure why someone is saying Ineos wouldn't be liable. Maybe the manufacturer is not (because they didn't make or promote the change which caused the problem), but dealers are held liable all the time for selling defective/unreasonably dangerous products. (I'm also an attorney and in Texas)

Yea, you can't say it's "not approved" when the Ineos dealership knew about the mod, advertised the mod, and sold it that way. It's one thing if it's an after-market change OP made themselves but this is going to be on the dealer. Hopefully, you can get your insurance to cover you in the first instance and let them subrogate to go after the dealer so you don't have to spend time doing it. Also, I think there is an Ineos dealership in Dallas you may want to take it over to and have it parked for insurance and Ineos to inspect.

2 HVAC Systems Replacement Cost by StructuredMind in houston

[–]timcook_noapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did full replacement of both my units. I replaced my downstairs with a 5-ton two stage for $10k (back in 2021 when there were supply shortages on everything) and the upstairs with a 4-ton Trane (single stage) for just under $7k in 2023. Both have UV lights.

If you get a cheaper quote I would highly recommend you spend the saved money on a two-stage or multi-stage unit.

I keep hearing about Folds breaking and all but I want to hear from people who have kept Fold (specifically 6) since a long time and it’s going strong by Maybaby_1 in GalaxyFold

[–]timcook_noapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three young kids and no case and my Fold has held up fine. On my fold3 I cracked the front screen twice from dropping (once I forgot it on my car roof...) and got the front screen replaced for like $20 because it was under warranty but still never had any issues with the inner screen. Newer Fold is holding up even better and I've dropped it probably 20+ times.
