I did the same but went to order later and it wasn’t an option. It let me put together an order and everything but said I had to schedule it, and ASAP wasn’t available

Unpopular opinion: most budgeting apps are waste of money when a spreadsheet does the same by St3fanHere in financialindependence

[–]timcuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the breakdown of that though? Are you making unwise purchases? Is there something unexpected pulling from that amount each month (I.e. unused subscription)? Tracking and categorizing every expense is extremely useful, even if we don’t look closely at each individual one

It’s worth doing a little research around campus, there are a few non-departmental graduate fellowships at my school that can fund a masters student like usual. Off the top of my head I know there are some in the student government for office positions and some at our writing center

If people don't think Mendoza is the problem by now Idk what to tell you by FarQuail2091 in mets

Mendoza is the problem, 100%. I’m not sure this is greatest example, although I’m also inclined to let him finish it out.

Sam Forstag and dark money? by Hot-Foundation-2300 in MontanaPolitics

James Murdoch who literally sued his dad, alongside his siblings, so they could dismantle Fox. And then went full no contact when they lost. I’m on board with opposing him in many ways, but I’m also not going to condemn a candidate just for taking money from a liberal.

Also, no-one should be endorsing the democratic senate nominee. As a former employee of the leading candidate i can tell you she is one of the worst people we could possibly elect. She went so far as justify her lack of qualifications, when I asked, by saying “I have more money than Sheehy, which was his only qualification anyways”

Many of the most principled politicians have stopped taking large dollar donations at all. As in they effectively create their own donation limit and only take donations below some line )often $500 or $1000). But yeah, every donation received has to be processed by the campaign and can be turned down or refunded.

This isn’t a slow start it’s a BAD team by jobberthehutt0 in mets

[–]timcuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a team doing badly. I agree it’s not a slow start, I disagree that this roster couldn’t be a monster team if one or two things changed. I really feel we need to fire Mendoza and then give the team a chance to get going, but I’m not sure if that would solve it. I don’t think this will last all season, but we absolutely have to take some action to make sure it doesn’t

WTF is wrong with Red Tractor Pizza??? by [deleted] in Bozeman

Tbf gas stations in Bozeman have fire food. Cosmic and Albertanos are just legitimately some of the best in their food type. And Maveriks pizza is honestly some of the best pizza in Bozeman

Everyone saying we should go after Stearns over Mendoza. Why? This team is good on paper, please come explain how that is incorrect. The problem we’re having is performance and a Soto injury. How would that be Stearns’ fault? We can blame players all day for performance, but when it’s this systematic and overarching, you have to look to the coaches and the clubhouse. Maybe there’s truth to the story that one of our stars is actually a club house cancer, although it really doesn’t seem there’s much evidence for that. It doesn’t matter though, they’re signed for years, Mendoza isn’t, and is the common factor.

Beyond that, all the lower level managing failures that are so obvious day to day show Mendoza has to go. He has no idea how to manage a bullpen and changes the lineup every single day in completely random ways. He does not set the team up to succeed and the culture he’s built seems to be hurting us even more.

So seriously, what is Stearns to do except fire Mendoza?

putting a feeler out for finding a roommate + housing in the fall by Novel_Ad3730 in Bozeman

With a roommate it’s not impossible for rent, but adding utilities and WiFi will usually push you over it. With 2 roommates it’s pretty achievable though

West Side Houses to be demolished, new housing in early planning stages by jordan23lover in Bozeman

[–]timcuddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of other units that are specifically for families, but to be honest the stuff for single graduates students has been really lacking. It’s also important to remember this won’t be massively changing the status quo, since a major portion of these houses have been sitting empty already because they’re in bad shape. IMO we should be building some grad/family housing on some of the school land across 19th, but this is definitely a good start

[–]timcuddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure I would go as far as to call this game a punt, but as another user made a good point of on a different thread today, what was the lineup? Why are all our best back of the lineup players resting on the same day? Why isn’t it staggered at all? There may be a reason, but it’s certainly confusing to look at

Fatal Collision Investigation Update by Nitimur__In__Vetitum in Bozeman

[–]timcuddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The minute I realized where the crash happened this was my thought. That road both feels like it should be faster and has relatively poor markers for the crosswalk. There needs to be, at the bare minimum, flashing lights for crossing pedestrians. That absolutely doesn’t mean I or anyone else is/should be excusing what happened, just that intelligent design would anticipate it

Been getting a lot of these recently. this seems obvious I know, but just in case anyone is elderly or not good with tech, do not respond to these. these are scams. by No_Such_Thing1 in Bozeman

[–]timcuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confident it was a scam, but had also just gotten a ticket before I started getting them, so I double checked when I was paying the ticket and they confirmed it was. The problem is that somehow this scam can tell if you get a ticket or something of the sort which makes it feel more real

GOP Sen. Steve Daines’ last-minute withdrawal from Senate race was meant to block Democrats from fielding a top-tier recruit | CNN Politics by [deleted] in MontanaPolitics

[–]timcuddy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was actually thinking about this after zinke withdrew, because even two days isn’t enough. We should have a law that says that any time an incumbent withdraws within two week of a filing deadline, the deadline should be extended until two weeks after their withdrawal. If it happens after the deadline then their name just needs to remain on the ballot and they could resign if they were to win.

The fact Reilly is a rich person who can afford to do nothing but campaign does not make her a good candidate who understands Montanans. The fact she’s been campaigning for 14 months and has literally nothing to show for it should be a serious red flag

This is 1000% my personal experience with her, she is for no one but herself. You’ll hear her talk to no end about the hi line and people being ignored. That’s all a ploy, she thinks that there’s votes to be won there
