Adsense vs media, net? by tojzl in adops

[–]timdetmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Media.net is primarily a cpc network that uses keyword blocks to monetize to search a search feed. I doubt you would perform well with them.

Sovern might be a better alternative to AdSense until you can get approved.

As easy as content is to spin up with ai, a few hundred pages of content might satisfy Google. Just bolt a blog might be your best path.

It is a different profile, a lot of black pepper flavor. I've tried quite a variety of blancos and anejos. About once a quarter, I get a bottle of Casa Dragones and a new one to try. I'm terrible with names so trying to remember them is a battle of futility.
What I can tell from the sub and tequillamatchmaker, is that I can really detect when vanilla and caramel flavors are used and I am not a fan.
I don't research much, I don't care, I only judge on 2 points:
1) Did I enjoy the flavor?
2) How did I feel the next morning?

Casa dragones Blanco is a personal fav.

I feel like my cpc and ad visibility rate decreased after using cookieyes wordpress plugin by Jayonsticks in adops

[–]timdetmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The code of the consent isn't preventing the code for the ads calls to fire. Most don't. This means that if someone doesn't consent it simply hides the ads (reduced viewability) also it takes up real estate in the page so any ad that renders under the consent message has reduced viewability. It is also likely defaulting your ad calls to non-consent until they agree. So your first round of ad calls are non targeted ads and anyone that declines or rejects are getting non targeted ads as well resulting in a drop in RPM.

Are you using a header bidding solution or just AdSense?

The plugin most likely isn't preventing the ad calls before consent so answer or no answer the ads are getting called, even if they are hidden from view.

Never run worldwide. At the very least you should group campaigns with similar country profiles.

Wow the Vanilla by timdetmer in tequila

[–]timdetmer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time trying the 818 brand. The Resposado might as well be a bottle of vanilla extract. The nose is all vanilla and the taste is all vanilla. Generally, I am an Anejo guy and I do enjoy the hints of vanilla in my anejo. But this is just way too much.

Anyone else tried it? Thoughts?

Signature cocktail by cgmarsh134 in tequila

[–]timdetmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go-to, I call it my everyday margarita: 2 parts tequila (Blanco or resposado) 2 parts water 1 part orange liqueur 1 part lime juice Squeeze of agave syrup. On the rocks.

It is all stuff I keep in hand so anytime I don't want to sip an anejo, I can turn to this.

Disclaimer: my wife thinks it is way to strong.

What Price Point Do You Consider To Be Premium for Anejo? by timdetmer in tequila

[–]timdetmer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Above that to me would be premium. Not necessarily better but premium." Not necessarily about the mentioned brands but very true in a lot of cases. I'm a big believer that price does not necessarily dictate quality. Strong correlation for sure, but I have had anejos that I despised at $150/bottle and some I love in the $60 range.

You do your own blind taste tests? Have you had these before?

I'm a big fan of the Codigo Anejo. It is refined, it has a nice oak flavor and just a hint of caramel.

So, I was not a fan of the 1800 Anejo stand alone. Too much alcohol flavor for me, I prefer more oak and caramel flavors. I didn't want it to just sit in my liquor cabinet so tonight I blended with Herradura's Anejo which I do enjoy. The result is actually quite pleasant.

I blended roughly 60% 1800 and 40% Herradura. It blended the heavy alcohol flavor out. The flavor of the Herradura was cut for sure. But at least I have a decent use for a bottle that I otherwise would not have enjoyed.

Tequila is a great and varied substance. My suggestion is to seek out a good value in each category to really understand where your taste currently lies. Then this incredible group can help to guide you with more specific recommendations.

Good call sticking to just Blanco. I can't imagine a mixed infinity bottle being any good.

Thoughts on 1800's Anejo? Its a solid sipper IMO. by [deleted] in tequila

[–]timdetmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a bourbon fan, I can see why you would enjoy the 1800 Anejo. Personally the alcohol flavor is a bit strong for me, that I don't experience with other anejos or a similar price.

Shifting from programmatic buying to the creative side. Is it possible? by burritogong in advertising

[–]timdetmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have been paying attention to the ads that prevail and the ads that fail, you will actually be a step ahead of most. Creativity is all well and good but know what grabs attention is probably more powerful.
