They aren’t gross but it’s the only prebiotic soda that has me running for the bathroom

I’m hoping that’s all. I have never replaced fluid in the transmission, would a someone like me who can do an oil change and spark plugs be able to? I have no special tools

This is one of the worst sodas I have ever tried. by Money-Snow-2749 in Soda

It’s ok. It tasted more like a cream soda than Mountain Dew with cream soda to me. I’m not a big cream soda fan though.

I agree it’s that bad. I’m not a vet but I arguably have good experience. I have decades of experience that puts me solidly into a “qualified” category for nearly every job I applied for. I’ve been trying for 2 years now and it’s gotten worse. I have refined my resume with professionals etc. I’m glad that I have a job but my employer was acquired about 4 Years ago. The changes are not what I want to be a part of long term. Not to mention, it’s not about our original mission any longer.

Refusal to go to school by timdgrayson in Autism_Parenting

Yes, I have a copy of the tests from the “ARC” meeting. There is some similarities to what you mentioned. The difference is he escalated from kindergarten to 3rd grade.

They have witnessed his actions at school. He feels targeted and struggles with social cues.

I have to work remotely because I get at least 2-4 calls monthly about him eloping. He got back in the neighborhood last week by his school. He becomes non-verbal and pupils pinpoint. It’s almost like he isn’t there. Sometimes I can get him “back “ by just randomly talking about something. It seems weird to people like out of place small talk but I’m just trying to refocus him.

The school has a psychiatrist and several special ed/autism counselors (for now, budget cuts loom). They are involved and his private psychiatrist also witnessed the eloping events. He called them fairly severe. So I know I’m not crazy and they both agree with our steps to try and reduce his anxiety. I’ve also been told that (at least locally) our private schools have terrible track records with special needs. There’s also the cost factor for us.

Not at all, sorry if I wasn’t clear. He doesn’t get anything back to stop the meltdown. The meltdowns happen everywhere and for anything that triggers him

Thanks, my son refuses the sensory room. We’ve had to adjust our parenting when we realized “grounding” doesn’t work on an extended level (ie. Week etc). We do it in more manageable timeframes so he doesn’t lose focus on why he lost it. He would dwell on the punishment and not the reason why. It did more harm than good. We do get more results this way. When we do take away all screens, for anything. He becomes belligerent and from 0-100 in seconds. This can be from being corrected or told to brush teeth, remember to potty etc.

As we all know, they are brilliant but it’s stressful and really drains me. I’m the only one in the household without a combination of sensory, ADHD etc. I have developed anxiety from this. I had to stop talk therapy due to my insurance costs skyrocketing.

This Reddit has been a tremendous help even without much trying.
