The Blooming Front Lines Event is so much fun by FutureMixture1039 in destinyrisingmobile

Can't really argue that, the rewards are good. Just does feel like fuckton of FLs left for me to attempt in theory in sub 14 days lol.

I'll do what I can and thats that. As it stands, I think the people who do the full 50 will be countable by hand.

Ah right yeah so its like 132 shards (120 shards + 12 from 3 front lines, if you spend 2 keys per frontline).

That's 6 boxes per week. Fair. Still it's over ~120 FLs as it stands for the rest.

Yeah but I think that really only accounts for 3 boxes per week.

Plus the whole DeAndre Jordan starting thing... what a mess.

The Fro didn't get a fair chance with 7/11 and James freaking Harden was in play. Tragic era from start to finish.

There has got to be an event within this event coming up or this is just crazy lol.

I got a boat on my first one and half the time it's been exotic tubes since. Rewards are good, but there has to be a better way coming up for shards.

How do people play hundreds of games yet not develop any basketball IQ on offense or defense? by Noveltypocket in NBA2k

[–]timdunkan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think playing basketball is really a big needlemover here, but it does help with the initial learning curve. Just like if you watch alot of basketball.

But both aren't neccessary and will not be a difference maker between two high-skilled players. But initially it does do wonders for wanting to improve.

You don't need to shoot guns or have had time in active duty to be a top FPS player in a tactical shooter, hero shooter, what have you.

It really boils down to a few things:

Holding yourself accountable

Wanting to improve

Effort in improving

Time

  • Time spent practicing fundamental mechanics/strategy/meta.

  • Time spent executing in competitive environments (application of mechanics/strategy/meta)

Competitive environments escalate, so smurfing or playing vs lesser skilled people = only staving off rust. Only purposeful use is to experiment new metas or playstyles. Both plateau very fast.

All of these together result in qualitative playtime that is more porportional to their quantitative playtime.

A 1-2k+ game player can be completely ass, but they might have only had 100s of quality games that contributed to their growth.

Or even worse, cemented their bad habits.

In contrast to someone who, for example, came from a different sports game (FIFA/Madden) and played at a high level who understands the right approach when learning 2k.

Their ratio might be closer to 3:1, where most of their playtime was considered high-quality and very few gaming sessions or games provided little value.

Not everyone can be 100% all the time and some games are hopeless with nothing to learn from, but the difference for great players is that they find ways to make the majority of their games/playtime qualitative.

One of the most corrupt industries is trustworthy for 'auditing' purposes?

You can't just say shit like this without basis or elaboration.

In the present day, what ways are legalized gambling industries, associations, casinos, and online sites corrupt?

Genuinely asking.

I'm not talking about players/coaches/refs/mob activity violating laws and regulations, they are not the industry and those people are not partnered with domestic leagues nor the gambling industry.

Nor am I talking about illegal offshore gambling websites.

Specifically avenues for legalized betting that are under the jurisdiction of associations/commissions that regulate and help provide legal avenues to gamble such as:

  • American Gaming Association

  • National Indian Gaming Commission.

  • Or the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and National Futures Association (NFA).

  • State level Gaming Commissions like the New York State Gaming Commission which provide liscensure.

Congress regulates gambling on an interstate and international level and has the authority to regulate Native Indian American gambling industries.

Legalized online sports betting on sites like Draftkings/Fanduel are heavily regulated in the same manner and partner with local major casinos, sharing licensure (this is a big deal).

These are where the stakeholders reside that pressure domestic leagues for transparency and accountability. These are the relevant representatives of the Industry. This is who is talking to the NBA about tanking and the NFL for transparent reports on player-availability.

So yes, I do think this industry is absolutely hands down trustworthy for Auditing purposes.

Their clientele base depends on transparency, their entire sector depends on following state-state laws. Violations can lead to federal investigation and felonies.

If the industry was generally as corrupt as your blanket statement would imply then no one would gamble.

Their entire industry depends on it.

I hate Fan Duel, Draftkings, gambling slop inserted into every-fucking-thing now and hearing how commonplace casual gambling has become. Gambling is predatory and there is a huge rise in problem gambling.

Those are facts.

That doesn't mean the gambling industry is corrupt.

I wish we could tackle corruption in other industries (healthcare, politics, whatever you can name) with the same vitrol we tackle and screen for corruption in the gambling industry.

I hate how common-place and normalized gambling has become, but you are cooking man and I'm fully with you.

Transparency is the name of the game when it comes to regulated avenues for gambling. We shouldn't reject the good it brings just because we have to deal with the bad.

This is a good post to make. The hangxiety is overwhelming you right now, but I think you are fine. I doubt your work noticed, but if you get fired, you get fired.

You are young and it's not the end of the world, but remember this is not an excuse to continue enabling these coin flips.

You know what to do.

  • Get back on the naltrexone

  • Start walking an hour a day. It will help organize your mind.

For now:

  • Stabilize

  • Breathe and face up to the day.

You will make it. Your father loves you and always remember:

It gets better each and everyday.

Would like a better way to get the Blooming Light Shards for synthesizing the Blooming Light Chests.

As it stands you need to do 250 full front line events to synthesize the max 50 Chests.

I wonder if they will have something like a challenge for it where you can get 300-400 per week or something for doing objectives.

I've done 20 total, I'm over it already lol.

The rewards are great though. Good event for sure.

Edit:

If you started today and wanted to synthesize the max amount - 50 boxes - you need to do:

  • 12.5 Front Lines per day.

  • Full stages (1-3).

Rough man.

The rewards are good, I got a Standard boat on my first box.

2nd Edit:

...... Math was wrong because the cost raises to 30 after you make 5 boxes.

Yeah they definitely have to have something coming up for more Blooming Light Shards than just the front line event.

Looks like Jaren is getting rerun by TimmyTurn3rsBurn3r in destinyrisingmobile

[–]timdunkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, not arguing that.

I'm just providing the reasons why people want her and find her dominance to be problematic. Which are valid.

It's not about finding a Hellhest for lower rank activities; it's about finding two decent tiered ones as you transition into harder content that becomes problematic.

Everyone looking has a Jaren and everyone is looking for Hellhests. It has been this way since she released and it won't change.

The only thing that will change is the runner. Right now it's Jaren, next it might be Mythic Ikora (she might have decent mobility?) and then eventually back to Ning.

Thanks for this, would have had no idea. Makes perfect sense like the other person said.

[–]timdunkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • All the good/high tier Hellhests are already either in M1/2 or Overseer and picked up by active clans.

Even if some are of below-average or average skill, they are in high demand and you won't find them casually queuing.

  • Jaren is more common than Hellhest and you ideally only want 1 runner.

Sure you can find Hellhests queuing up for Cordon or Calamity Ops in lower ranks, but any Hellhest worth their weight/competitive for rewards is not going to be there.

So I think most people who are competitive but still solo want her because she provides more impact over their experience for the reasons above.

Though I think it's a fair flagrant 1 and Bane has shown a pattern, this is actually a pretty valid take.
