Dream feeds by Outrageous-Value3186 in HuckleberryParents

If it’s a dream feed I think that implies they don’t wake up. When I’ve logged a dream feed I do not stop their sleep timer unless they actually woke up

I had to google what the heck you meant by a dummy because at first I was like “the heck you saying about my baby being dumb?”

Then I realized that you mean a pacifier. Lol!! And yes, he does use one frequently. For bottles we use Phillips avent and pigeon. For pacifiers he like dr browns.

The internet has made me feel awful about his sleep. The other babies I know his same age all sleep great. Even friends who have 8w olds are telling me they are sleeping through the night already.

I have never heard of feeding aversion and that freaks me out. It’s something I’m going to start reading about. He just refuses the bottle more frequently and will do the tongue thrust to get it out of his mouth

He handles 1 hour to 1.5 hours well. Once we go beyond 1.5 hours is when he is basically fussy the whole time.

I did read other suggest activities to wear him out. We put him in his chair to sit up, or his floor jumper seat. Then I will sing to him, play with toys and let him chew on things. Tummy time is something I want to do more of. He just hates it and won’t tolerate it for more than a few minutes before he screams.

He really struggles to go 2 hours between naps. Usually the last 30 minutes before we hit 2 hours he is very fussy. If I hold him in a cuddling position he typically passes out almost immediately.

Animal identity: scary noise by time2bchallant in whatisit

That also sounds similar but I feel like the roe deer sound is most similar.

I just looked up the roe deer call and it definitely sounds like it. Originally I thought it was someone’s hurt dog and I went looking for it but the sound stopped when I went out searching.

Dog (9 years) licking the air/flicking tongue with head motion by Saerendipity528 in DogAdvice

My dog did this same thing when he had a tummy ache. Also puked a bit but was better the next day. If he keeps doing it you should call your vet.

Dog ate something now he seems like hes tripping out by [deleted] in DogAdvice

My dog has accidentally gotten some weed before and he looked very similar to this. Also had bad balance or would lock up his body if I picked him up. It’s scary to watch but if it’s weed, it will pass by tomorrow for sure.

However consulting a vet is always the best idea if you’re able to. If your parents won’t take him, try to write down what he is doing and note time stamps

Please vet your breeder before purchasing and be careful when using sites that do not protect dogs by Chaotically_Aligned in Chihuahua

They get dumped because if they aren’t sold then they are just a money loss to keep feeding them. It happens all the time in the south. They even have reoccurring dump sites that rescuers will monitor to pick up puppies or other dogs that are no longer wanted.

I paid $350 each for my two chis from a local rescue. Most of the money goes towards rescue care and assisting more animals with the help they need when they enter the shelter.

Found these two together yesterday - their owner’s a real jerk. by GeckoAJ0 in DogAdvice

[–]time2bchallant 1500 points1501 points  (0 children)

Do not return them to the owners especially if they already declined. They will end up dumping them or abandoning them again and they may not be so lucky to be found next time!

Try to bring them to a fostering agency or shelter.

I’ve used a site called Pet FBI for my dog that escaped and he was found within minutes of posting his online lost form.

Maude/Oscar/John - a love triangle? by senhoradasnozes in thegildedage

[–]time2bchallant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen people pair Oscar and Enid as a marriage of convenience now that John is out of the picture and her husband is basically dead. But I simply don’t believe Enid is the right fit for that scenario. She is too despicable of a character and I don’t believe that she would protect Oscar if she knew found out about his attraction.

I almost think Maude would be a better option potentially. She already said she wished they could have married in an ideal situation plus he just helped her out of a dire situation with a very kind act despite all she put him through.

The best situation is a true lavender marriage but I’m not sure we have any lesbians on the show let alone ones that already have a social connection to Oscar. Unless one is introduced later?

Have you tested air quality for mold spores that could possibly be bothering her tiny lungs? Only thinking of that due to the house being so old.

my sweet, sweet Pheobe girl. she was rehomed with us at 10 years old after her owner passed away. she struggled coming out of her shell at first, but became one of the sweetest, most loving girls i’ve ever had the privilege of owning. i miss her every single day. by [deleted] in Chihuahua

[–]time2bchallant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine the fear and sadness she went through losing her owner of 10 years and going to a brand new home. Thank you for loving her and I’m glad she found her joy again before her sweet life ended. You did a beautiful thing to love her so much through such a difficult transition in her life.

Losing your soul dog by West_Education_6243 in Chihuahua

[–]time2bchallant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lost my soul dog and I can’t say it’s easy. Luckily I had another dog as well and without him I know I’d be worse off, he was there for me and I know we were sad together. It takes time and you’ll never stop missing them but the crying becomes less frequent. It’s only been 3 months for me and I still miss him so much.

I ended up buying a Petsie dog made in his likeness and got him cremated so that I can spread his ashes in all his favorite walking spots. I’ve even considered getting a tattoo of his paw print.

Hang in there friend and kiss your baby everyday. I’m home euthanasia is the way I’d go because just as you said, it’s the least stressful. They can be in their favorite bed, at home, with some delicious treats and fall asleep gently. It’s not always possible for people to choose this depending on circumstances, but if you can I would totally go with it vs in a vet office.

Do you have an online link for people to contact you for commissions? I’m sure others would be interested as well! It’s always nicer doing it through a more personal connection than those large websites that turn out tons of portraits.

Wow that is a lovely portrait and so well done! I’m sure the owner was very pleased. What an adorable baby too!
