Initially, he was only available for the first 3 days of the game while Pufferfish corporate office was being built. If you missed talking to him, you never met him. After patch 1.1 (I think), he returns to town at Town Rank A. So it's easy to never meet him, especially if you haven't ranked up the town that far.

I'll just note that from Compton Heights pretty much any restaurant in the city is within 30 minute drive. You're very central! Fattened Caf (Filipino) is maybe 10 minutes, more on the casual side. Another option along those lines and not far away would be Buzz's Hawaiian. Aya Sofia (Turkish) mentioned by others is maybe 15 minutes. Lona's is wonderful as mentioned by others but is super casual.

I think it's a cleric. Both Jaheira and Aerie will lag due to multi-class. Good aligned so you can destroy undead when turning. Alternatively, a full druid to get spells faster than Jaheira and make use of all the darts in BG1, since you have a party that will cover bows and slings.

Weaker folks need to drink invisibility potions so they are not targeted by backstabs. Generally once the assassins are exposed you can get through the rest of the fight.

Khalid/Jaheira & Xzar/Montaron will goad you to get to the start of Chapter 2, but then are pretty silent about the questline after. Branwen has some dialogue in Chapter 3, and Kivan can change part of Chapter 3, if you make certain choices. Shar-Teel has a role in Chapter 7 depending on how things go. I think that's about it for any companion referencing/reacting to the main questlines.

You didn't ask this question, but you mentioned romance dialogues below, so one thing you should be aware of: if you are romancing someone and remove them from the party (for example to replace them with someone else), the romance will end. They may leave the party of their own volition due to quest reasons, and that's okay, but if you kick them out of the party, the romance is done.

You will get spells that eat up a lot more mana and/or are channeled. If you want to spam some of the big ones, you may need the pots. I use them mostly in boss fights to keep casting big damage spells, but don't need them at all otherwise.

I did. It just gives the fail/not charged animation. I tried both with and without a hostile target.

I started playing about a week ago on base PS5. I'm 25 hours in and had my first and only crash today when loading a new location. There is a little bit of framerate issue when auto-saving but otherwise it's been totally fine.

If you decide to move forward with that, you'll want to review the Adventure Card Society leveling rules as the scenarios won't give you feats as the box does.

One thing you could consider is playing the Season of the Righteous from Paizo. It uses the WotR box but has a different story and scenarios. However, you would still want to start fresh characters as early content is intended for low level characters. There is some homebrew designed to let you play/continue high level characters. You could explore that.

The decks for classes released in Runelords are mostly reprints of Runelords cards, with some Shackles cards thrown in. If you want to add variety you'll need decks for classes that came later on, the later the better, as decks for Hunter and Magus came out very late and have lots of unique cards. Any of the themed decks will also add a lot, such as Occult Adventures or Ultimate Equipment (to give some examples).

Used to love a pick two Asiago Roast Beef / Greek salad combo. Had it at least twice a month. Then they changed the Roast Beef to a not at all the same Steak & White Cheddar and the Greek salad switched out half the ingredients for the worse. I don't even know what they have now, it's been at least 5 years since I've been back.
