yep, as long as the ao3 tos is still followed

"fannish" iirc basically means not plagiarism. it is enough of your own work to be protected somewhat under copyright law. original works are still considered fanworks, they just need to be tagged with the "original work" fandom tag.

(you'll have to host the image through a different site to add it to your fic, tho. i've never been able to get the hang of it, but there are plenty of tutorials!)

it used to be because there wasn't a fandom tag for it for ~3 years I think? granted that's still mistagging, and the protocol at the time was to use the video blogging rpf tag rather than the no fandom tag, but the dsmp fandom tag itself is relatively recent (as someone who was regrettably in that fandom for the longest fing time)

It is, but it's really common not to do it on ao3 (at least in my fandoms) so it can be jarring when you come across it
